Make Believe
One thing I love about having a little girl is watching and participating with them as they play Mama or dress up. Everyday I can assume sometime within the day will be consumed with Elyse taking care of her babies or wearing something I didn't put on her that morning. Overall, I love it, and can't wait till she's three and is having blown out tea parties. So much fun!
Elyse going through all her girly accessories, notice the purse too?!

Stumped Us All
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month, Elyse and I attend MOMS at our church. It's a time where I get to socialize with other moms and Elyse spends time in the nursery playing with kids. I am very thankful for all the volunteers, they do a wonderful job! Well today Elyse really must have had a great time, because she did wonderful while there and she managed to stump all of us adults. See, I dropped her off in her cream shirt and when I picked her up, her shirt magically had green on it. She did not color, paint or use any writing utensils. No volunteer or myself found anything in the room she would have used. How it got there, we do not know, but at least she enjoyed herself.

Increasing Vocabulary
The weather is nothing but snow today. Nothing bad, but just decided not to take a trip out in it. Therefore, Elyse and I spent much of the day, reading, cleaning and playing like normal. I did find some cards Nate and I purchased a while back and pulled them out. Elyse had NEVER seen these before and was saying or signing so many objects on the cards that I wanted to capture it on camera. I am just amazed at how quickly she is learning a new word all the time. Especially if it's something she really likes, like "cookie". (I'll try to capture a Target run with the joyous cookie treat some other time.) I LOVE this stage and look forward to what she says new tomorrow!

Elyse, Phone's For You
I want to start off and set something straight. Nate and I do NOT let Elyse play with our phones. She has many toy phones and knows they are what she can pretend to talk into. However yesterday, Nate was calling me on his way home from work and Elyse wanted nothing more than to talk to her Dada. She kept saying, "Please" and "Dada". Nate and I discussed it and then I put the phone to Elyse's ear. She then signed, "Please", informing me she didn't want my help. So I let go and captured this. Nate and her having a private phone call. I was very proud of her because once she was done talking she gave the phone right back, what a good little girl. By the way, did you notice how she really is like a grown up lady, talking on the phone and multitasking all at the same time?

Nothing New
I don't have anything exciting or new to post. Recently life has been pretty simple. Elyse is constantly learning new words and things and I hope to capture them soon. But basically, Elyse and I have spent our time seeing friends, going to Storytimes and playing/learning at home. Therefore, this post is basically to show more pictures for those who miss seeing Elyse.
