Twins Game

Caleb is not a fan of soccer, so when Dad gave him the option to go to the World Cup, he declined and said he'd prefer attending a Twins game. Therefore, that's what the rest of us did last night while the boys were away in Kansas City. The game did not go as planned, but the weather and company were perfect!

World Cup 2026

This past Thursday and yesterday, Dad, Kallen, and Ian experienced a once-in-a-lifetime event: they got to attend some World Cup games. On Thursday, they watched the Netherlands take on Tanisha for the win. Their tickets were good but nothing like Saturday's. On Friday, they spent their day hanging out at the Fun Fest and then picking up Uncle Shawn and Liam so they could join them on Saturday. Saturday's game was the highlight by far. At first they weren't very excited, as it was Austria and Algeria. However, when they got their seats in the second row, it was a game changer. Not only were they close, but they got to touch the game ball and they made worldwide television whenever either team scored due to their location. It was so fun watching them from miles away celebrate the same game we were celebrating at home. Lastly, the game ended up being one of the best of the entire World Cup as it came down to two goals scored in the last minute, making both teams advance to the thirty-two bracket.

Maddie Turns 12 Years Old

Today Maddie turned twelve years old, and we were so thankful to celebrate her. Unfortunetly, due to flying home, her day seemed busy and rushed, but we sure did not forget to celebrate her. Maddie continues to be our strong-willed, artistic, organized, avid reader, and animal-loving child.

Happy Birthday Maddie!
We love you very much.

Today we got to celebrate Maddie with a nice family dinner of her choice, ate cupcakes, and opened gifts. She will have her friend party later in the week with the same summer/watermelon theme.

New England Road Trip - Day 12

The final day - we started our day by taking a tour of Fenway Park. Caleb was anticipating this the entire trip. He was disappointed that he couldn't see one part thanks to a concert that evening, but overall it was awesome. Following that, we explored the other end of Boston with the higher-end stores and ate at the Cheesecake Factory to commemorate the amazing end to last year's trip.

Overall, the trip was wonderful! It was full of a variety of activities, fantastic weather, and lifelong memories that were created!

New England Road Trip - Day 11

Today we explored the beautiful town of Boston. We started by eating a healthy breakfast of donuts, ha. We then walked the Freedom Trail, where we saw historical landmarks and the tombs of famous historical figures. We also went to the Boston Tea Party Museum and dumped the tea. We explored shops and Faneuil Hall Marketplace, and ended the night back at the World Cup Fan Fest.
