Elyse LOVES to color, but really hasn't loved her bath recently. We don't know why, she just gets in, plays for a few minutes and says, "Done". Last night however was all different. We were constantly asking her, "Are you done?" Nate and I purchased some bath crayons and now are back to draining all the water in order to get her out of the tub.

I'm **uck
So this morning, Elyse woke up a little earlier than normal and besides singing she was happily saying two things over and over again, "Mama" and "**uck". Since I was eating breakfast and she wasn't crying, I left her in her crib in hopes that she would fall back asleep. Finally I went to go get her out and while I tried to lift her up from lying down she began yelling, "STUCK". I thought the entire morning she was saying "Duck" because we usually look at them out her window in the morning. My bad! So Elyse successfully got her foot/leg stuck between the metal bar that lowers the crib and a crib railing. The crib is set at regulation safety width, guess widths are not as close as the FDA thought they should be.
Elyse's new spring coat, thanks Mom! Suppose to hit 70 this week!

Cozy Coupe
Yes, Elyse is in the grass. Besides the fact that the one front wheel is a little broken, I put her there so she wouldn't go anywhere when I was filming ;)

A Great Find
One thing Nate is really good at is finding amazing deals on Craig's List. Most of the time, they are stuff people are giving away for free, like this past weekend where Nate got Elyse a lot of great things. One such thing is shown in the picture below. Elyse got her own set of washer and dryer. How fun for a little girl, right?! I remember getting my brand new set last year and being so excited; and by the facial expression from Elyse when she saw her set, I know she had the same feeling.

Signs of Spring
I couldn't have asked for a nicer day yesterday! We spent almost the entire day outside, and I loved every minute of it. Below are a few reasons why my day was so delightful.
1. Nate and I spent over 1.5 hours putting away Christmas decorations, including taking down the lights that go on the entire pine tree to the right of the house, doesn't even fit in the picture I took.
2. Played in the grass because there was NO snow on the ground.
3. Cleaned out the garage. Okay, Elyse and I did nothing but watch Nate clean out the garage.
4. Saw constant smiles from this beauty all day, she LOVES being outside!!!
5. Spent the day hanging out with my two loves.
I know it's only half way through March and in Minnesota anything can happen, but I sure am hopeful that winter is gone and spring is here.

ABC's
I have been working with Elyse on her ABC's a ton recently. Today while I was brushing my teeth in the bathroom, Elyse wanted to read her books in Nate and my bathtub (I think she likes being in small spaces). Anyway, while looking at her books I overheard her saying her ABC's without my help. I got the camera, asked her to do it again, and officially can now say my daughter says her ABC's without our help. Good job Elyse!

Sesame Street
I can honestly start off by saying that Elyse has NEVER watched one episode of Sesame Street. As a gift she was given these Sesame Street ABC cards that provide the names of the characters as well as letters and other words. She is constantly learning from these cards, especially letters. I'll have to post something on that later. As for now, test your knowledge, can you identify the character before Elyse can?

Original Hat
My friend from church named, Angie does amazing knitting creations. She knits scarves, mittens, hats, blankets, pillows, you name it, I believe she could do it. Anyway, you choose the color and item and within no time you have just what you want. I absolutely LOVE Elyse's hat she made for her and as you can see from the picture below, I think Elyse loves her new hat too.Thank you Angie, you did a wonderful job.

18 Month
Happy 18 Month Birthday Precious Baby Girl!
Even though Elyse really isn't a baby anymore, a part of her will always be my little baby girl. It's crazy, scary and exciting that she's eighteen months already. She really is one beautiful person inside and out. Nate and I are so blessed to have this ray of sunshine in our lives.
