Fun in the Woods
Today dad mowed down the woods to make paths for the kids to play. Needless to say, they were exploring the backyard for hours. Lifelong memories being created!

Last Day of School
The children had their last day of school today and boy was it bittersweet! Thanks to the Coronavirus, our year ended not like anything we expected. The kids did a great job with distance learning but saying, "Goodbye" to their classmates and teachers over Zoom was heartbreaking. Even though they are excited that summer has officially started, they honestly are more excited to start school again with friends in the fall. Here's to hopefully a great summer vacation!
Sadly no pictures with teachers and classmates were able to be captured, but we did drive to school to get our annual rock and celebration pictures.

Birthday Car Parade
Caleb's class decided to celebrate all third graders who have birthdays from March to August with a class decorated vehicle parade. The best-decorated vehicle won the "Summer Smores Basket". After a great job decorating the van with a bear theme, we are proud to share, we won. It was a lot of fun and something the kids probably won't ever forget.

(Virtual) Track and Field Day
Today was another first and hopefully a last, Legacy's Virtual Track and Field Day. This day is a favorite to all in the Legacy community. I am thankful for technology but still so saddened that this is how the boys had to do it today, especially Ian as it was his first year. Anyway, they were asked to do somethings alone at home and the others on zoom. Each boy won for their grade in one event. They did, sit-ups, sock toss and bottle flipping. Kallen (48) and Ian (34) won at sit-ups and Caleb (13) took victory in bottle flipping for his grade. Great job, boys!

Madeline Graduates Preschool
Today Madeline graduated from Legacy Preschool and will begin kindergarten in the fall. She was so excited for today and the smiles on her face prove just that. Today's graduation ceremony was nothing ordinary. In fact, it was the first ceremony Legacy ever performed this way thanks to the Coronavirus. The kids got on their gowns and instead of being in the chapel, they were greeted outside with decorations and gifts. Following that all the families lined up to follow the police and LCA bus around town honking our horns and people waving. We made a stop to pose with Pounce and the firetruck. We then headed back to LCA to say goodbye to their teachers and get their certificates. It was really special for Madeline and we were all so excited for her to graduate LCA Preschool!

Hide and Seek Cornavirus Style
Tonight we joined five other family friends of ours for a game of Hide and Seek Cornavirus style. One family hides, sends a picture and we have 20 minutes to find them in a 2.5 mile radius for points. It was fun, challenging and so amazing to see friends in person again.
