Pearly Whites
Elyse, Caleb and Kallen all had a dentist appointment scheduled today. It was Kallen's first time visiting the dentist. He watched the other two first and then climbed into his chair and rocked his appointment. In fact, they all did, no cavities just pearly whites.

Soccer Fun
Today Elyse, Caleb and Kallen started their first soccer practice. They play every Saturday morning for the next seven weeks. It's not intense play which is great right now. They are learning basic skills with lots of fun play. I loved how Caleb and Kallen were holding hands majority of the time for comfort and support. It melted my heart. All three enjoyed themselves so much and joyfully are excited to go back.

Trip to Keokuk
This past Father's Day weekend we traveled south to spend our time in Iowa with Grandpa, Grandma and the rest of the Klauser family. We spent our time playing at parks, eating out, going to FunCity in Burlington and hanging out. Unfortunately we didn't capture many pictures. In fact, the ones below are the only ones we got. We didn't even get one of all the kids with the grandparents :( I guess we will just have to get together again real soon.
Special thanks to Grandpa and Grandma for their hospitality and making the time so enjoyable.

(Supposedly they did NOT plan to match.)

Curious George's Banjo
The boys' favorite television show (and secretly mine too) is Curious George. Recently the episode involved George making a new banjo for "The Man in the Yellow Hat". When the episode was finished they began begging me to make one too. Even though they both have real nice toy guitars it's apparently not as cool as a box one with rubber-bands. The boys did a great job making them and even a better job playing with them.

Little Picasso
Ian LOVES to color. Most one year olds enjoy eating crayons, paints, markers and other craft items. Ian however loves to draw with them. I believe he is going to be our most artistic child with his desire to do art and music all the time. Recently his favorite coloring activity is chalk. As you can see by his clothes, he enjoys it.

Visit From the Tooth Fairy
Last night Elyse had a special visitor come see her, the tooth fairy; that's right, she finally lost her first tooth. It's been loose for weeks, but it was hanging by a thread all day yesterday. So before bed she asked dad to pull it out. He grabbed a pair of pliers and with one little pull, it was out. She has not stopped smiling or showing people all day.

Early Father's Day Gift
Nate has recently changed careers and currently is a financial adviser with Edward Jones. He really is enjoying this new opportunity and is really good at it. He has been away all week for training and got back yesterday evening. The kids and I spent our week going to his office to decorate it with home decor and kids' artwork/cards. We gave him this gift as a thank you for working so hard for us and as a early Father's Day gift. I am confident that he loved it, and I know for a fact he was surprised.

Arrr!
I have often posted on the creativity/imagination of our boys. Another perfect example shown below as they dressed up as the most unique pirates I have ever seen.

Kindergarten Graduation
Today Elyse, and the rest of her class of 2027 graduated kindergarten. The day consisted of an adorable concert they preformed for us parents, the students receiving their diplomas from their teacher, and a mini party. Nate and I are so proud of her. She is becoming the most beautiful daughter inside and out that we could ask for.

And They're Off
The boys were beyond thrilled this morning when they were told we would put in their power-wheels' batteries. Needless to say they spent their entire morning riding. Nate even made a seat belt for Ian. He was hesitant at first, but then constant smiles, and screamed once we took him off. Poor Elyse has officially gotten too big to ride but had a great attitude about it.

Kitchen Picnic
The boys informed me that the smartest place to have a picnic is in one's kitchen. I don't know if I would agree; but I was not going to argue with them when it kept them entertained all morning.

village127's Family Social
This past Saturday we attended our church's adoption ministry, village127's annual family social. The event consisted of socializing, inflatables, food, activities and a time to be surrounded with people that have a heart for adoption, orphan and/or foster care. Definitely a fun way to spend our Saturday.
