Mama's Boy

So I'd like to say that all my boys are "Mama's boys", but I don't know how much of that is true.  I can say they all were as infants though.  However, the older they are getting the more they are appreciating their Daddy.  Therefore, I am soaking up every minute of my littlest "Mama's Boy" as long as I can.

A special thanks to my mom for capturing these pictures for me!

Easter Day

I could not have asked for a better Easter day!  Besides the weather being perfect, 75 and sunny; we had my mom and stepfather up, played with the kids, did Easter activities, and celebrated the reason for the day, the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Easter activities consisted of decorating Easter eggs (on Saturday),
attending church in our very best  :o),

reading the Easter story and opening resurrection eggs,

opening Easter baskets,

finding and opening Easter eggs and,

sitting in our new chairs!

Hope you all had a wonderful, memorable and enjoyable Easter too.

Still a Peanut

Ian had his 4 month doctor check-up yesterday, and as predicted, he officially is still our littlest peanut.  Besides his eczema issues, he looked and sounded great.  Doctor kept commenting on how happy and adorable he was.  I know I am bias, but I couldn't have agreed more.

9 Year Anniversary

I can joyfully say that after 9 years and 4 kids, I am more in love with this man than ever before. Happy Anniversary Nate! I love you with all my heart. God has truly blessed us these past 9 years and I look forward to what He has in store for us in the future.

Happy 9 Year Anniversary!

Ian Turns 4 Months

Today our baby boy is 4 months old.  I feel like I blink and the month is gone already.  Ian really is such a blessing to this family.  He is beyond loved.  He loves to be talked to, read books to and jump in his jumperoo.  You can find him constantly cooing and laughing right along with everyone else.  Love him to pieces!

Happy 4 Month Birthday, Ian!

Post on 4 month stats to come later this week after his appointment.

Easter Carnival

This morning we attended Elyse's preschool's annual Easter Carnival.  Once again it did not disappoint.  The school puts on amazing events for younger children.  Today they got to visit the empty tomb, hunt for eggs (the hunt is indoors with eggs mixed between colored balls, genius!), jump in inflatables, and play a lot of carnival games. Since we did not want to carry around more stuff then we already had to, we relayed on using our smart phone cameras.  Pictures may not be the greatest, but the morning was!

Constantly Cycling

Now that the weather has been nice, it's a regular occurrence for the kids to put their helmets on and continuously ride their bikes.  I just hope they enjoy it this much at the end of August as they do now.

By the way, don't you agree that Kallen looks like the mushroom in Mario and Luigi...love it!

Elyse's Spring Concert

Elyse had her preschool's spring production last night and boy did she do an amazing job.  I would really be surprised if she does not go into some sort of theater activity as she appears to have so much fun on stage.  And to top off the night, following the production was an ice cream sandwich social :0)

Without further ado, Elyse singing her favorite song, "Daniel's in the Lion's Den":

Some fun camera shots from the night as well.

10+ Inches

On Tuesday when the weathermen mentioned we could get over 10 inches of snow Thursday through Friday I thought it was just a mean April Fool's joke.  Unfortunately, they were right.  In fact, it started around five yesterday and by the time we went to bed we already had over four inches.  Thankfully it is suppose to be in the fifties all next week, so here's to hoping this is the last snow of this spring.  I will end this post with pictures of the kids and wise words that were constantly repeated from Kallen while driving home from the gym around 5:30 yesterday, "All done snow, all done snow!"

Stripes

I don't know what it is, but I am a big fan of shirts with stripes.  The funny thing is today just proved that without it even being planned.  Both Caleb and Kallen pick out shirts they would like to wear for the day and then I obviously dress Ian.  While eating lunch I happened to notice they were all in stripes.  So I asked them to sit and take a picture for me, it turned out super good minus Ian not smiling.  Love them so much, both stripes and my boys :o)
