Les Miserables

Every since it was promoted in January, Elyse who loves musicals asked if we would take her to Legacy's school edition of, "Les Miserables".  We told her we couldn't commit to buying tickets because of scheduling conflicts at the time of sales.  Well lucky for Elyse, some of our good friends had two extra tickets yesterday and asked if we would like to use them.  Thankfully we were able rearrange somethings so Dad could take Elyse, and the joy on her face will never be forgotten.  They both agreed, it was really good!  She's already excited to go again next year.

Blow Up Ball

Ian received this huge blow up ball for his first birthday, and every once in a while we blow it up for hours of fun and free entertainment.

Kallen's Spring Production

Tonight Kallen participated in his preschool's Spring Production.  He was so excited all day to get dressed up, stand on stage with his class and sing his six songs to the rest of us.  He looked so handsome and did a great job!

Mom's Birthday

Today just happened to be my birthday.  I feel awkward doing a post about me, but I had to in order to brag about Dad and the kids.  Dad really outdid himself this year with decorations, gifts, and having my favorite, carrot cake.  The day was built around non-stop fun, surprises and love; it started with constant hugs/kisses and "Happy Birthday Mom".  Then the kids had me open the presents they picked out and amazingly all kept it a secret.  Following that we spent our day at church, and then just relaxed outside and had a family day.  Loved this birthday day and honestly it is going to be hard to top or get close to the greatness next year.

Perfection

Every once in a while we get a day that I would consider "perfection".  Today was one of those days.  Dad came home early from work, we all went out for breakfast donuts, a little shopping, attended a fun friend's birthday party, took Grace to a local park to play and went on a long walk/bike ride.  Ending the day with a great family summer meal, plus to top it all off, it was 70 degrees with low winds, no humidity and all sun....PERFECTION indeed!

Easter Sunday

Yesterday marked one of my favorite days throughout the whole year, Easter.  For most of the world the day involves eggs, a white bunny, family and food.  For our family some of those elements are included, but majority of the day was focused on the true meaning of Easter, the resurrection of our Lord in Savior.  So our day went as it has in the past; we started off at church praising Jesus for dying for our sins, then reading the Easter story with resurrection eggs, opening our Easter bags, eating a delicious meal as a family, and finding eggs throughout the yard.  The day overall went perfectly.

He is Risen!
He is Risen Indeed!

12 Year Anniversary

Today we celebrated not only the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we celebrated twelve years of marriage.  We can both agree the first year was rough, the middle ones had trials, but the last few have been nothing more than a beautiful marriage.  So blessed and thankful to wake up and fall asleep next to my best friend every night.  Love you and always will. Happy Anniversary Love!

Stitches

Today marked a first for our kiddos (surprisingly it hasn't been sooner), stitches.  The victim sadly was Caleb.  I got a call around eleven today that he was running up the stairs at recess and hit his chin just right that it cut it wide open.  Ian and I went to pick him up and took him to urgent care to get six stitches put in.  Minus a few tears during each new needle poke he did fabulous.  I think the Popsicle at the end was a major incentive to be strong.  Very proud of him, in fact, I think he handled it better than I did today, ha!

Legacy Gala

Friday night Nate and I joined about 400 other adults at the annual Legacy Christian Academy's Gala.  The event was wonderful with dinner, a keynote speaker, testimonies, auction and worship.  We look forward to doing this again in the years to come, and continuing to see God do amazing things within the kids' school.

Rise Up with Jesus

This morning was nonstop Easter fun.  We participated in our annual Easter activities at both church and Kallen's preschool.  While at Constance Free Church we made anointing oils, washed Mama's feet, made a Jesus tomb craft, did prayer time, and learned about the crown made of thorns; overall lots of Easter activities focusing on the meaning behind Easter.  Afterwards we quickly spent time at Family of Christ Preschool where the kiddos played some games and did their ball-pit egg hunt.  The kids loved everything about the morning and it showed by the constant smiles they had.

Special thanks to Nana for coming up to join in the festivities and for capturing all the wonderful pictures.  Love you and greatly appreciate it.
