Our Miracle #4 Is A....

BOY!

After the initial shock of discovering that our littlest miracle was a boy, we were filled with joy.  Especially because he looks completely healthy and perfect.

Some of you maybe curious on how Elyse took it (since she has been praying since January for a baby sister).  Well we did balloons and a video but there were tears so we decided not to post it :(  However, we were able to use this as a teachable God moment.  It allowed us to explain that God always listens to our prayers but does not always answer with a "yes".  There is a reason why this baby is a boy and we may never know but need to thank God for giving him to us.  We do ask for your prayers on giving her peace that she most likely will never have a newborn/baby sister.

As for us we, are excited to become a family of 6 in just a few months.

Anoka County Fair

Our local county fair has been going on since last Tuesday and since today's weather was so perfect we decided to check it out.  Needless to say, it wasn't as big as the county fair I attended growing up or anywhere near the size of MN's state fair, but it didn't disappoint.  We saw lots of farm animals, road tractors, attended a demolition derby, walked through the old town and ate fair food.

Bookstore

Since we were in the area this morning, and the weather was cool and cloudy we decided to stop by our local bookstore for a while.  All three kids and I just love going there.  Although what's not to love, new books, a stage to dance or read on and trains to play with?!?

Deeply apologize for the HORRIBLE pictures.  I forgot to change the settings on my phone.

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for...
  • air conditioning on these humid 90 degree days
  • little kicks I now feel from munchkin #4 (18 weeks along)
  • friends that we have played with everyday this week
  • free childcare at our gym on short nap days (hour with just Nate too)
  • as always, my other three happy munchkins that I love so much

So what are you thankful for this
"Thankful Thursday"?

Enjoyable Summer Morning

There are many reasons why I am thankful for Nate.  Without a doubt, this morning I was thankful for him financially supporting us so I can be a stay-at-home mom everyday.  I would not trade my career for anything; especially when I have mornings like today!  All three kids were super obedient, we had company over for awhile, and then in almost 90 degree heat, I got to relax outside while watching them joyfully play in the water.  LOVE SUMMER DAYS!

A special thank you to Nate for enabling me to have memorable mornings like these.

Andover Parade

I have often posted blogs that involve our Chiropractor, Dr. Tony at Essentials of Life Chiropractic.  Not only is he a wonderful Chiropractor, ranked #1 in area, he and his family are great friends of ours.  Therefore, when he asked us to walk for him at the Andover (local town) parade today, there was no hesitation.  It was so much fun for us all and we just hope we get asked again next year.

Also, Elyse did walk (or ran as shown in last picture) the entire parade, the pictures are taken at the end when she wanted to see the carnival behind the crowd. :)

He's Finally on the Move :)

Starting June 2nd, Kallen began taking steps across the house on his own.  He then sadly got sick, we traveled, and due to other events that occurred, his walking was put on the back burner.  Thankfully after Nate encouraged me on Thursday to force him to walk everywhere (even if it took 10 minutes to get from the car into a store), the boy is officially walking and I couldn't be more excited!
