The kids love Star Wars and they found a book at the library that shows how to make Star Wars crafts. We happen to make the Globe of Peace. A giant ice ball filled with glow sticks that glow in the dark. They are super cold but very fun for the kids!

Spring Break?!
We have officially begun spring break and with the new 5" of snow we received overnight it sure doesn't feel much like spring. At least the sun is out and we are all enjoying a nice family fun day during our break.

Book Fair
Today the kids had their project book fair at school. Every elementary student reads a book in the month of February and then makes a project that is all about the book. The parents go around and ask questions and give compliments to the kids. They all did a great job. Elyse made a game this year, Caleb did the cereal box project, and Kallen made a tri-fold.

Daddy-Daughter Ball
Tonight was Legacy's annual "Daddy-Daughter Ball". Elyse has been excited for this night since the first time we received Legacy's calendar last summer. All the girls from kindergarten to eighth grade love this night. It's where dads and daughters get dressed up, go out to eat, then back to Legacy for a night of dancing. The entire event is designed to make the girls feel loved and treated like the princesses they are. This year was extra special as one of my good friends (family friend too), Mandy came over to braid Elyse's hair. Elyse picked out exactly what she wanted and it turned out beautifully. (Special thank you to Mandy.) I can't get over how gorgeous my baby girl is inside and out!

Happy Valentine's Day ❤
Today was Valentine's Day and the entire day was filled with red, pink, hearts, hugs, gifts and love. The kids were up bright and early with anticipation of their day. They put on their red/pink clothes, grabbed their DIY Valentine box and headed off to school. Each kiddos' class had a Valentine's party that involved getting lots of candy, notes and goodies. Ian's class had an extra "Love Tea" event in which a special guest joined the students to make a Valentine craft, watch them sing songs, and eat yummy treats together. I was so excited my baby boy picked me, such a fun day. We ended our night with our annual Valentine's pancakes and red fruit dinner. Hope your cup was full of love today/tonight, because mine sure was. Happy Valentine's Day for sure!

Kallen Plays Basketball
Basketball continues to be played at our home, but this time it is Kallen's turn. Kallen's league is a lot of basic skill learning, but they do have 45 minute scrimmages at the end of each practice that is fun to watch and cheer them on. His team consist of ten Legacy classmates and the same coaches that Elyse had which is super fun, since that includes Dad again.
The boys got to practice with the Legacy's boy's varsity basketball team.

Mother-Daughter Tea
This morning Elyse and I joined 140 other women at our church for their first ever mother-daughter tea with some friends. The event consisted of a delicious breakfast, guest speaker and some hands on activities.
