Elyse Turns 9 Years Old

Today I woke up the most beautiful nine year old girl I know.  I don't know how she is already turning nine, that number seems really old to me.  In the last nine years she has become one amazing young lady that loves life and the Lord.  She continues to strive in school, loves anything to do with dance, drama and/or music, playing with friends, swimming, and being fancy.
Happy 9th Birthday, Elyse!
We love you to the moon and back.  Words can't express how grateful we are to God and your birthmom for you.  You make being a mom the best job ever.  Enjoy your last year of single digits; and know that no matter what you will always be our "Baby Girl"!

Lego Club

Caleb and Kallen have both been apart of Legacy's Lego Club the last few Thursdays and quickly have grown to not only love being apart of a club with friends but building Legos.  I foresee Christmas lists looking very different and more expensive this year, ha!

StoneRidge Doodles

Our friends have recently started up their own dog breeding services of goldendoodles, mini-goldendoodles and bernerdoodles.  Their first litter of goldendoodles were born about 5 weeks ago and so with everyone home yesterday thanks to Labor Day we drove up to spend some time loving on nine adorable puppies.  The kids were bummed they couldn't take one home but we reassured them in a few months another different litter would be born they could love on.

Special thanks to StoneRidge Doodles for having us and cuddling with those pups!

Dentist Reward

What better way to reward the kiddos after an amazing trip to the dentist with no crying, arguing, complaining, getting painful x-rays taken, and NO cavities than going to get ice cream with loads of candy sugar mixed in?!

First Day of School

The house became a lot quieter today as Elyse, Caleb and Kallen started school.  I usually dread this day and cry but today was so different.  Mostly because the kids were thrilled to start, they are done by 2 PM so I feel like I still see them, and as mentioned many times I love the school and know they are in great hands.

Also, Legacy rocks every year at celebrating the first day with Pounce the mascot and the staff giving high-fives to every student as they jam to music running/walking the orange runway carpet.

Chuck E. Cheese's

Today the kiddos and I headed north to St. Cloud to Chuck E. Cheese's for a day of fun.  We had some pizzas, kids played in the play-place, played games, won prizes and danced with Chuck E. Cheese for over three hours.  We also had the great privilege of spending the day with Caleb's birthmother, Mariah, her grandma, Judy and her son, Arlo.
