Donate to "Toys for Joy"
Today the kids participated in "Toys for Joy" which is very similar to "Toys for Tots" but it's put on by their school. They picked out some great toys and then once again joyfully donated them to children in need. Can't get enough of doing things like this during this time of year!

Advent Day 3
Morning in Bethlehem
Today's activity is an annual one for us. Our church puts on a Christmas event to get families excited for the meaning of Christmas. We spent our morning doing petting the nativity animals, dressing up, as well as decorating cupcakes, singing "Happy Birthday to Jesus" and of course, eating them. I know Elyse and Caleb are getting a little old for the event but I really hope this one can continue at least for a few more years.

Advent Day 1
Stuffed Animal Drive
We kicked off this year's Advent activities with a new one, plus the kids have been asking to do it anyways. Their school is having a "Stuffed Animal Drive" to give to children at the Children's hospital. After school today the kids went shopping to pick out a stuffed animal and then we drove back to school to donate them. No tears for not getting to keep the stuffed animals, just smiles. Love it.

Star of the Week
Most schools have a "Star of the Day" where a child gets to bring in something to share. Legacy's kindergarten classes do that as well, but they also have a "Star of the Week". This week happened to be Caleb's and boy was he excited. We worked together to make his poster look and say all he wanted on it. He then was able to share it with his class and answer questions they may have had. Throughout the week he gets special fun privledges like wearing the "Star Hat", picking out his favorite books, getting little prizes and other goodies.
Legacy does such an amazing job at making our kids feel so unique, important, special and beautiful children of God. I know I have said it before, but I truly am so thankful and love their school!

Always Singing
I love that my kids are always singing, especially worship songs. Caught them this weekend singing, "Jesus is my life saver." Sadly they stopped or in this case said, "The end" when the camera started rolling.
