Enjoyable Summer Morning

There are many reasons why I am thankful for Nate.  Without a doubt, this morning I was thankful for him financially supporting us so I can be a stay-at-home mom everyday.  I would not trade my career for anything; especially when I have mornings like today!  All three kids were super obedient, we had company over for awhile, and then in almost 90 degree heat, I got to relax outside while watching them joyfully play in the water.  LOVE SUMMER DAYS!

A special thank you to Nate for enabling me to have memorable mornings like these.

Andover Parade

I have often posted blogs that involve our Chiropractor, Dr. Tony at Essentials of Life Chiropractic.  Not only is he a wonderful Chiropractor, ranked #1 in area, he and his family are great friends of ours.  Therefore, when he asked us to walk for him at the Andover (local town) parade today, there was no hesitation.  It was so much fun for us all and we just hope we get asked again next year.

Also, Elyse did walk (or ran as shown in last picture) the entire parade, the pictures are taken at the end when she wanted to see the carnival behind the crowd. :)

He's Finally on the Move :)

Starting June 2nd, Kallen began taking steps across the house on his own.  He then sadly got sick, we traveled, and due to other events that occurred, his walking was put on the back burner.  Thankfully after Nate encouraged me on Thursday to force him to walk everywhere (even if it took 10 minutes to get from the car into a store), the boy is officially walking and I couldn't be more excited!

Mowing Obession

This is what takes place in our home when Nate mows and doesn't let the boys ride along.

Beach Fun

Many Minnesotans headed up north to their cabins to celebrate their 4th of July weekend. It may not have been cabin bliss, but us visiting our local beach a few times was nothing more than a perfect way to spend 90 degree temperatures.

Since the beach is manmade, it is very clean and the kids love swimming in it.  Kallen even got in a few times but preferred getting dirty in the sand :)

Hope you all had a memorable and happy 4th weekend as we did!

Farm Fun

Nate's family owns some farmland and hires a farmer named, Chris to farm it.  Kindly he welcomed us all up to his own family farm for the kids to play, sit, and even drive some awesome farm equipment.  Like I said before, it was by far Caleb's highlight of the weekend!  Elyse's was seeing the cows. :)

Caleb is actually steering/driving the tractor.

Special thank you to Chris for having us and making our son's day.

100 Year Anniversary and Visiting Grandparents

This past weekend Nate, the kiddos and I headed south to Nate's hometown, Keokuk, IA.  Keokuk celebrated the 100 year anniversary of the Keokuk Dam.  It was a great experience for us all.  I know Nate really appreciated all the history behind it growing up there, seeing floods go through it and taking part in other year anniversaries.  My favorite part was by far riding the antique trolley across the dam.

Besides visiting the dam, we spent our time playing, getting fancy, and doing something that was the highlight of Caleb's weekend and deserves a post all on its own.

Special thanks to Mike and Kathy for your hospitality and we look forward to seeing you again next month! :)
