Water Break

I walked into the kitchen to see this, my two sons stopping their play to take an adorable water break together.

Happy Mother's Day

I would like to wish all you mothers a Happy Mother's Day!  May your day be filled with joy, laughter, love and many blessings.  I am so thankful to be these beautiful children's mother :)

I want to send out an extra special blessing to the most beautiful, selfless, gentle, caring and loving mother a daughter could ask for.  I LOVE YOU Mom and thank you for all you do for me!

"Why?"

Caleb has recently discovered the word parents of toddlers despise, "Why?"  Thankfully I never really dealt with the word with Elyse.  She was so advanced in her vocabulary she would just ask me an entire different sentence to get the answer she wanted.  Caleb on the other hand, asks "Why?" after everything I ask of him.  At times it gets really old because it occurs even after I give a specific reason why.  For instance,
Me: "Caleb, lets go potty now so you do not have to go at the store."
Caleb: "Why?"
Me: "I just told you why, so you don't have to go at the store." :)

Another moment in parenthood where patience is tested daily.  It's a good thing I love him so much and I know it will end sometime soon ;)

Awana's Award Ceremony

Last night was Elyse's last Awana Cubbies for the year.  As I have shared many times, she LOVES Awana and is so bummed that it is over until next fall.  Well the night started with her slowly and cautiously crossing the stage to receive her Cubbie stuff award pin.  Then she got to celebrate the night with fun activities and lots of candy.  Her memorizing 70 bible verses and educating herself in the Lord this year has been priceless, and I too am kind of bummed it's over till fall.
Holding her Cubbie award pin :)

Troublemaker

Last night we had the pleasure of hosting our bible study here for a potluck.  The night was perfect and thankfully the children were able to play outside.  However, I always put away things that I don't want damaged, could ruin property or toys that take hours to pick up.  For instance, play food, puzzles, good toys and coloring supplies.  So after the social was done it was time to put the stuff back in its spot.  As I went to go get the things, this takes place...

Elyse: "Dad, Mom, come here." (standing outside the toy room)
Nate: "Why?"
Elyse: "Because Kallen is doing something he is not suppose to be doing."
Nate: "What is he doing?"
Elyse: "I really don't know what to say, just come here."

So we then proceed to rush into the toy room to find this, our troublemaker son getting into more mischief.  Can not take our eyes off him for a second!

Bubbles

BUBBLES: Something that takes up 30 minutes really fast when you are stuck inside due to snow flurries and 30 degree temps outside.
