This past weekend, us Klausers headed down to IKEA to look for some new organization bins for all the kiddos' art supplies. We successfully found stuff as well as Pyssla. I remember doing these all the time as a kid. I brought them out today for Elyse to try and what a great activity for motor skills and creativity, plus it takes up lots of time. A preschool activity I highly recommend.

Kallen at 4 Months
When it comes to Kallen, I often hear the same three comments:
- He is such a happy boy
- He has such big, beautiful, brown eyes
- He looks way bigger than ____ months old or what a big boy he is
Kallen's 4 Month Growth
Weight: 14 lbs, 10 oz (45%)
Height: 26 inches (90%)
When it comes to mental and emotional development, Kallen is 100% where he should be for a four month old.

Kallen Turns 4 Months
Our littlest peanut isn't so little today as he is a 1/4 done with his first year of life.
Happy 4 Month Birthday, Kallen! We love you.
(I will post Kallen's four month stats tomorrow after his doctor appointment.)

Cozy Wednesday
As stated in other posts and all over the news, we are
in a major heat wave right now. Records are constantly being broken. Even
though many people complain about the humidity and heat, I love it.
I am always cold and therefore do not mind this stuff. This morning,
however, was full of rain and thunderstorms, and yet, it was cozy and perfect. The kiddos played super nice, I did not feel rushed to
get anywhere and I had nothing that needed to get done. Priceless!

Colored Ice Cubes
With temps reaching 100 today it was only appropriate
to play in the water and with ice cubes. Thanks to the
blog, "Play, Create, Explore", I came across this fun, summer activity. Elyse spent a long time mixing
and watching colors change. Caleb, about five minutes :) Oh well, I totally
recommend it. It was not only lots of fun, but educational.
DIRECTIONS:
Fill ice cube trays with water
Drop 1 or 2 drops of food coloring into each tray
Let freeze in freezer
Fill a bunch of clear containers full of water
Have child drop one color cube into each container to see it melt.
Add two different cubes or have child pour two colored waters into new container to make purple, orange and green
Enjoy!
