Caleb Turns 18 Months

Last Saturday, Caleb turned 18 months.  We did not forgot to celebrate him, but we were out of town (post to come) and he had his doctor appointment today.  The boy successfully passed everything, and according to his stats, he still is our little, adorable peanut.

McDonald's Fun

Thanks to a random scheduling change, my mom had today off work.  Therefore, since it was such a special treat, we decided to add to the fun and take the kiddos out to eat at their favorite and my least favorite place, McDonald's.  It sure ended up being a lot of fun, minus the fact that I had to go up the play area to help Caleb come down.  But don't tell anyone, especially since I was over the age limit and I had no socks on ;)

Good Choice

I often find Elyse making poor choices when it comes to Kallen; for instance, kissing too hard, singing too loud, or tickling a little too rough. I know she does it because she loves him so much and believes expressing it aggressively is a way of showing that.  Even though she tends to make poor choices, every once in a while she will make an amazing, great, big sister choice like I caught a couple days ago.  I placed Kallen against the Boppy, went to help Caleb in the kitchen with something, and when I went back to get Kallen, I found this beautiful image:

Anything With Wheels

Probably all you moms with boys can relate, all Caleb does all day long is make his vehicles go up and down the entry way.  He doesn't seem to ever get tired of it.  In fact, he was too focused to even look and smile.  I sure do love my silly boy!

Why the Face Elyse?

I realized today that I forgot to do a post on why Elyse had such a surprise face in the pool.  Well the reason for the face is because Nate found a frog in the backyard and put it in the pool.  Elyse was hesitant at first, but then thought it was a lot of fun to swim with a frog.  There are no pictures of Caleb with the frog and that's because Caleb wanted to have NOTHING to do with it.  Elyse will most likely never have such a memorable and fun swimming experience in her pool as last Sunday.
