5 Months Old
Elyse turned 5 months old today! I know I say this every month, but I really can't get over how fast time flies when children are in the picture. Nate and I love her more and more each day and we're so thankful for the past 5 months and for the months to come.

Playdate Day
Last Thursday, Elyse and I went to our first play date. It was a great time of socializing, laughing, eating and watching our little ones try to interact with one another. I look forward to doing it again REAL soon!

Miss. Independent
As I have previously mentioned, Elyse is also known as, Miss. Independent. She likes to do things all by herself. Well as you've seen before, she LOVES cereal and eating in her high chair. Last night while Nate was feeding her like he normally does, Elyse decided she wanted to try to feed herself instead. Overall, I think she did a great job. She's growing up way too FAST!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Bowman
One of my best friends, Joni recently got married to Joe Bowman in Key West, Florida. I'm so happy for her, but sad I wasn't able to be there to celebrate with her. However, this past Saturday they had their wedding reception in Burlington, Iowa and I wouldn't have missed it for anything. Joni looked beautiful and it was great to finally meet Joe. They also had amazing cake and homemade ice cream :) Nate and I were able to see friends from college and show off Elyse. Overall it was a wonderful Saturday! A special congratulations goes out to Mr. and Mrs. Bowman. Love ya Joni!!!

A Great Day At MOA
Yesterday, my mom met Elyse and I at Mall of America for a GREAT day of shopping. I had so much fun, and so did Elyse as she constantly was talking and making her high pitch noises everywhere. I think the reason it was so enjoyable is because my mom and I have been to MOA lots together and I've always dreamt doing it while pushing a stroller. Well, yesterday my dream finally came true. It was the first time that there was three of us and not two. I also think it was so enjoyable because we found some great stuff at great prices. Anyway, we didn't take any pictures but here are two of my favorites of my mom with Elyse or all of us girls.
THANKS MOM for a GREAT DAY!

Rolling
So after talking with some family members and friends who have seen Elyse roll in person, they were pretty shocked she was doing it. That's when I realized I forgot to post the video of her rolling. She's been successfully rolling now for over three weeks. Therefore, I'm sorry this is kind of late. She's very good at it and loves to do it. Unfortunately we are still learning how to roll back. Once that's accomplished life for Nate and I should get easier since many times Elyse will roll and get stuck. We also find it ironic that babies like Elyse hate being on their stomach, but once they can roll by themselves they love being on their stomach. Miss. Independent, kind of like her mom I suppose.

Yummy, Yummy In My Tummy
So after I fed Elyse for a little bit, Nate gave it a try. He started out great, but by the end I think Elyse ended up feeding Nate.
