Mother's Day

I feel so blessed to celebrate Mother's Day today in the most perfect way. I got to spend time with my husband, three beautiful children, mother, in-laws and dedicate Kallen to the Lord this morning at church (post to come).
I daily thank God for giving me the opportunity to be a mother and I don't ever take my three blessings for granted.
I hope all you mothers had a memorable, enjoyable and relaxing Mother's Day too!!!

We read the Easter story and shared the story through resurrection eggs

Elyse and Caleb went on their Easter egg hunt in the backyard and then opened all their eggs of goodies

Opened Easter baskets.

Lastly, the least succesful activity...trying get good Easter pictures

We hope you too had a blessed and memorable Easter.

Valentine's Day

Hope you all have a wonderful, memorable and loving Valentine's Day!

Even though Nate and I have never celebrated this holiday, I still enjoy it a lot. It's fun to dress up in red and/or pink, pass out special treats and tell all the people you love how much you love them. I especially enjoy it now that I have kids to share in the fun activities with, like we did today. (Sadly I did not capture any good pictures.) We spent the morning with all our friends at a local open gym playtime. The kiddos ran around, rode bikes, went through tunnels and laughed a lot. We then ended our time by having a Valentine exchange. Elyse had been talking about giving out her Valentine's and suckers for a week. So it was no surprise she loved it. Then right when we got home she couldn't resist but open up all the ones she received (and Caleb's too). So much fun, and such a great Valentine's memory.
A special thank you to all the moms and kids who came today.

Speckman Family Christmas

This year us Klausers got to celebrate Christmas with my mom, brother, Steven, his wife, Kim and their daughter, Chloe. It was a really quick time together but was so memorable and great to have them here. Many times it felt like we were celebrating Thanksgiving with the 45 degree temperatures and no snow. However, the celebration of Jesus' birth with family here, church, meals and gifts still gave some feeling of Christmas. Overall, our weekend was filled with lots of laughter and watching the three kiddos play.

Special thank you to Mom, Steven, Kim and Chloe for coming up to celebrate Christmas with us. We love you so much and miss you already.

Just a heads up, be on the lookout for one of Elyse's favorite gifts from Chloe and one of the cutest things I have ever seen.

Klauser Family Christmas 2011

This past weekend, Nate's parents drove up to celebrate not only Caleb and Nate's mom's birthdays, but Christmas. We spent our weekend, hanging out at the house playing with all the new things the kids opened. It was great having them here and hopefully we will get to see them really soon in 2012.
Thank you Mike and Kathy for not only coming up but all the great gifts. We love and miss you lots and hope you have a Merry Christmas!!!

White Christmas???

I can honestly say that I am extremely bummed that our yard looks like this:
That's right, we have no snow in December and so far none is being predicted before Christmas (knowing my odds it will all arrive in March on the way to the hospital). I don't remember never having no snow on Christmas. Now I am more than happy to see grass on December 26th, but for some reason Christmas should be white to me. I know Nate feels exactly the same way because he LOVES snow, and plus last night after watching weather he said to me, "I think I could seriously cry that there maybe no snow."

I maybe bummed, but at least I still have two happy kiddos.

Halloween Fun

Elyse and Caleb had the opportunity to be involved in many Halloween events this year, starting last Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Elyse's dance class had a Halloween celebration. They danced to Halloween music instead of their regular performance music and then passed candy around. Super fun and cute!

Sunday night, Nate and I hosted our annual small group Halloween party. It was so much fun seeing all the kids dressed up and then sharing candy. As you can see from pictures, in three years, the amount of kids has doubled and is just going to keep getting bigger.
The Original Five: Aiden, Willow, Mariana, Elyse and Mason
The New Twelve: Anika, Dieter, Aiden, Willow, Emmitt, Mariana, Noelle, Elyse, Caleb, Mason and Avery (Not pictured, Landon)

To end Halloween 2011, we took the kiddos trick o'treating. They did great and got their pumpkins full. It was extra special for me, because it was the first time I was able to go with the kids.

Hope you all had a memorable and Happy Halloween like we did!
