It's A GIRL!!!
As many of you know, we are adopting a baby girl and are VERY EXCITED!!! She will be the first grandbaby girl for Nate's parents, first great grandbaby girl on both my sides, so what can I say... she's most likely going to be spoiled.
OUR ADOPTION PHONE CALL:
Nate and I were able to speak to the birthmother, and birth grandmother on Monday, July 7th. The entire conversation was amazing, God was right there with us, no doubt. We shared about ourselves and they began to cry stating they have no doubt we were the right choice. The grandmother went on to share thier side of the story. Her and her husband raised the birthmother and her two sisters in a Christian home. The birthmother walked away from God in high school and at 18 moved in with the baby's father. Soon after conceiving the child she knew this was not where she was meant to be. She then left and went back home. While home she felt the presence of the Holy Spirit and gave herself over to God. A few months ago she had a dream and God told her that this was not her child and belonged to us. She was given a vision of who we are and therefore had a strict criteria in order to find us. She told her parents and they met with another family who were hoping to adopt. While there she said, they were not it. She called Bethany Christian Services and asked for profiles. She said she saw only our cover and 100% knew! She said there is no way this baby is hers, it's completely ours! She then gave all the profiles to her family members and they too all chose us without even knowing she already did. Her entire family are 110% on board with us and this adoption they said. We are super exicted! The birthmother also told us that she wants a closed adoption. She says we will make this baby so happy there's no need for her to know who she is. In fact, she never wants to see her. She is going directly into Nate and my arms!!! :) Talk about God having his hand in this.
The due date is between Aug 26-Sept 9 (different clinics, different doctors). Will be born in California. Therefore the day she goes into labor we will be off to California for up to 10 days.
Therefore, please continue to pray for the birthmother and this process. We have so much confidence in God that there's no way this isn't going to be our little girl soon. In closing, the birthmother said that she tells people, "This is not my baby, I'm a surrogant mother"
God is AWESOME!!!
love,
Natalie
