Junior Achievement

For the past four weeks, Dad and I once again spent each week teaching the Legacy's fourth-graders about business through a program called, "Junior Achievement".  Today this year's program came to an end at BizTown.  The students spent the entire day working in their corporations; they focused on their tasks in order to successfully make their products, sell those products, and pay back their corporations' taxes and loans.

A super fun experience for us to both get to do with Kallen.  Kallen's job was being a bank teller at the bank.  At first, he wasn't very excited about that job, but his teacher knows him well because it involved constant focus, dealing with money/numbers, and working with people.  We observed him helping many of his fellow classmates balance checkbooks and work the computers.  He really did a great job and in the end, loved his day!  (The last picture is only posted because Kallen's tongue is out, and ever since he was a baby when he is really focused, the tongue comes out!)

Kallen Turns 10 Years Old

Today Kallen turned double digits!  He was so thrilled to finally be 10 and honestly I feel like he has been 10 for months now.  The kid continues to be loved by many with his kind and gentle heart.  He has a passion to help others and do what is right.   As a ten-year-old, he still proves to be very intelligent (especially with math), funny, cuddly, and a drive that will continuously bring him success in all he does.

Kallen's favorite things right now are hanging out with friends, Legos, dinosaurs, video games, and basketball.

Happy 10th Birthday, Kallen!
We love you so much, enjoy your first year of double digits buddy.
Since Kallen's birthday lands on Spring Break, we had to postpone his party to next Friday when three of his closest buddies will be over for basketball, a sleepover, and video games.  He did celebrate today with Nana and the six of us by opening gifts, eating cake, playing his new video games, and having his meal of choice, cheeseburgers, potatoes, and fruit. Overall, I think turning double digits has been non-stop fun!

Spring Break at the Wisconsin Dells

Dad decided about a week ago that we needed to get away and go to the Wisconsin Dells during the kids' spring break.  We decided to go this year to our favorite resort, The Kalahari, as it's the one that has all the rides and water fun in one room making everyone happy to do what they love most.  We arrived Tuesday, swam, and stayed up real late.  Spent all day Wednesday at the waterpark, and then ended our trip today at the arcade as well as the Tommy Bartlett Exploratory that came with the waterpark tickets.  Our trip went by real fast.  I'm actually bummed to be home, but thankful we got away and still have some more days left of spring break.

Kallen's Basketball Season

Tonight Kallen finished up his fourth-grade basketball season as champions!  The team was made up completely of Legacy boys with dad as the coach.  They were undefeated all season (one game ended with a tie) and won the championship game last night with a score of 32-10.  They played so well last night and it was fun watching them be so successful.  Instead of trophies, they received championship rings that are honestly huge for their little fingers, but super fun.  They also had both fourth-grade teachers and their principal come cheer them on.

I just love watching the kids play, and with Kallen's great defensive play and his drive, I'm excited to see him just continue to strive at the game he loves so much.

Elementary Spring Musical

Tonight the youngest three had their spring musical concert.  They sang so well and looked so nice.  I was a very proud mama tonight, and a little emotional as it hit me that it's Kallen's last elementary production.  Overall, nothing brings me more joy than hearing my kiddos sing praise songs to their Lord in Savior.
