Caleb Goes to Camp

Beginning this past Sunday until today, Caleb has been gone at Camp Lebanon.  After dropping him off, I had a rough night as it was emotional knowing I would not be talking or seeing him until today.  Needless to say, he did great!  He went with two classmates and had such a wonderful time. He did lots of swimming, ziplining, laser tag (won too), shooting, worship, bible studies, and games.  So thankful for God and Camp Lebanon.

Klauser Family Visit

We just got home yesterday from spending a few days down in Keokuk with the entire Klauser family.   We even were able to celebrate the Fourth of July which was really fun and memorable for the kiddos.  While down there, we visited with all dad's extended family, went swimming, boys went fishing, and we lit off a ton of fireworks.   We all had a wonderful time and we hope it doesn't take as long next time to get together again.

Elyse's Music Recital

Today Elyse had her music recital.  The recital took place at her teacher's backyard. Thankfully the rain held off and she was able to perform. She looked stunning and sang beautifully.  She sang, "Part of that World" from Disney's "Little Mermaid".

Madeline Turns 7 Years Old

Today our sweet girl turned seven.  Right now Madeline still is the tallest in her class with bright blue eyes, she loves playing outside, swimming, doing color by numbers, and building Legos. She is so smart, inquisitive, and full of nonstop joy.

Happy 7th Birthday, Madeline!  We love you so much.

Madeline wanted a rainbow theme birthday party.  Unfortunately due to covid, no kids had any parties this year, so it was a family party.  She spent her day doing everything she loves to do.  She did lots of coloring, ate food she wanted (chicken salad for lunch and Chinese for dinner), we went to a favorite family park, swam in the pool, opened presents, ate cake, and began building one of her many Lego sets.  She said it was a fabulous birthday, even her favorite birthday so far.  Hope seven continues to be just as awesome for her as today was.

Happy Father's Day

Today we celebrated dad. We spent our day going to church, eating meals together of dad's choice, hanging out, and watching a family movie. Kids also gave dad personal cards with drawings and highlights from our recent trip dad took us all on. Hope he felt as loved as he is. We are so grateful for him and all he does for us all.

Happy Father's Day! We love you lots.

Glacier National Park

Our last major stop on our trip involved spending a few days at Glacier National Park.  Unfortunately, since it was still early summer half of the park was still closed.  We did get to see a few great hiking trails and waterfalls.  Glacier National Park was by far the most beautiful park we saw.  We even came across seven wild mountain goats on a hike.
