Feels Like -55°

When we woke up this morning it was -25° with temps that felt like -55°, nothing but frigid temperatures outside! We have had school cancelled for 3 days, so we have hybernated inside; but Dad who loves to be adventurous and loves the outdoors ventured outside in the cold to teach the kiddos what happens when boiling water gets thrown out in -55°, it evaporates instantly.

Homecoming Week

This is by far one of the kiddos' favorite weeks of school, Homecoming.  The week is packed full of dress up days, activities, sport games and pep-fest.  The kids were non-stop smiles every morning heading off to school.  Elyse even got to participate in the school's pep-fest.  Love Legacy!  Go LIONS!

DRESS UP WEEK
Monday: no school
Tuesday: Western Day
Wednesday: Jersey Day
Thursday: Cameo Day
Friday: School Spirit Day

Challenge: Find IAN!  Clue, almost done marching and the only child who held up his poster the entire time.

Elyse and her buddy, Megan had to do the "toothbrush hang on rim of hat" trick during rely races.

Elyse's Birth Family

While at Disneyland we had the great privilege of getting together with Elyse's birth family.  This was Elyse's first time meeting her birthmom, Bridgette and I'm so thankful it worked out.  Everything went perfect, it was so great to see them again and have our two families join as one.   We look forward to more opportunities to stay connected now and hopefully seeing each other again sometime soon.

DISNEYLAND

Grandpa and Grandma spoiled the kids with the ultimate Christmas present this past year, a trip to Disneyland.  We took off on New Years eve and rang in 2019 with nonstop fun and memories.  The week was full of so much joy for both the kiddos and I.  There was a lot of walking, but everyone didn't complain and did great.  We spent our time riding rides (favorites, Radiator Springs, Toy Story Mania, Star Wars, Ariel's Underwater Adventure, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Indiana Jones), seeing Frozen live, parades, Fantasmic! show and fireworks at night, and of course, met all the Disney characters.  In the end, I know the kiddos had just as much fun as I did as they are still talking about it and asking if they can go back daily!
