Today Elyse and Caleb participated in Legacy's Elementary's Annual Track and Field day. The event ran from 8:45-11:30, with a family BBQ to end out the event. The weather was 70 and sunny which made the turnout incredible. All four kids had fun either playing, watching or cheering on one another. We were so proud of the kids; they did a great job and have ribbons to prove it (not all kids get ribbons, which I love about it too!)
ELYSE

3rd Place: Obstacle Course and High Jump
CALEB

Today Kallen and I participated in his preschool's annual field trip to Wargo's Nature Center. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. While there we explored the different types of habits animals live in. Kallen successfully found numerous amounts of frogs, worms, beetles and other insects. His favorite things were riding on the bus and seeing the hawk.
Tonight closed out another season of Awana for the kiddos. It was a big night as they each received a reward for completing their books. Plus three of the four graduated and will move up a level next year; Elyse graduated from Sparks, Kallen graduated from Cubbies and Ian graduated from Puggles. The night was full of games, cotton candy, singing, awards and non-stop fun. Proud of them all!
Every since it was promoted in January, Elyse who loves musicals asked if we would take her to Legacy's school edition of, "Les Miserables". We told her we couldn't commit to buying tickets because of scheduling conflicts at the time of sales. Well lucky for Elyse, some of our good friends had two extra tickets yesterday and asked if we would like to use them. Thankfully we were able rearrange somethings so Dad could take Elyse, and the joy on her face will never be forgotten. They both agreed, it was really good! She's already excited to go again next year.
Ian received this huge blow up ball for his first birthday, and every once in a while we blow it up for hours of fun and free entertainment.
Tonight Kallen participated in his preschool's Spring Production. He was so excited all day to get dressed up, stand on stage with his class and sing his six songs to the rest of us. He looked so handsome and did a great job!
Today just happened to be my birthday. I feel awkward doing a post about me, but I had to in order to brag about Dad and the kids. Dad really outdid himself this year with decorations, gifts, and having my favorite, carrot cake. The day was built around non-stop fun, surprises and love; it started with constant hugs/kisses and "Happy Birthday Mom". Then the kids had me open the presents they picked out and amazingly all kept it a secret. Following that we spent our day at church, and then just relaxed outside and had a family day. Loved this birthday day and honestly it is going to be hard to top or get close to the greatness next year.
