Staycation

After years and years of waiting for this day, Dad and I were finally able to get away for 48 hours. We spent our time eating delicious food, shopping, visiting beautiful Stillwater while crossing the bridge into Wisconsin, sleeping in, doing Bible studies, and going to see Nate Bargatze at the Xcel Center. Even though it was only 48 hours, it was just what we needed, and honestly wish I had another 48 hours. Love spending time with my best friend.!

Twins Game

Today was a beautiful weather day for baseball so Dad decided last minute to purchase some Twins tickets for the family to enjoy together. The weather, seats, and overall experience did not disappoint; however, the ending to the game did. They lost 5-7.

Day 10: San Franciso Part II

Today was our last day, so much so that we fly out at 11:58 PM. We ended our day continuing to explore San Fransico.  We rode down Lombardi Street ("Curviest Road in the World"), then visited the “Full House” home, the Painted Ladies, and the downtown areas. Lastly, we treated all the kids at the Cheesecake Factory. We ate pretty simply throughout the vacation, so ending it with one large, glamorous meal was a fun treat for all, and a perfect way to conclude this year's family vacation.

Day 9: San Fransico Part I

We made it to our last destination last night, crossing the Golden Gate Bridge into San Fransico. We spent the day seeing the Golden Gate Bridge, exploring Alcatraz Island, Fisherman's Wharf, and Pier 39. Besides the cooler temps, the day was fantastic. Alcatraz Island is a spot I recommend anyone in the area visit; it has such a fascinating history.

Day 8: Redwood National Park and Sea Glass Beach

Today started with driving through a tree and exploring the Redwood National Park, followed by an 800-foot mountain hike on the Tall Trees Trail. The ending viewpoint was beautiful, but probably not worth the strenuous hike. Following our hike, we made a quick "Joyride Run" (current trend to purchase this new healthier candy created by Ryan Trahan as he travels 50 states in 50 days). After that, we headed to Fort Bragg, California, to explore Sea Glass Beach. We didn't have much time there and I wish we had because it was really a sight only seen here.  A ton of sea glass pieces were sparkling on the beach. We left around six at night and had to finish making our long travel day to San Fransico.
