Klauser's 50th Anniversary Celebration

For the past few days, we celebrated Grandpa and Grandma's 50th Wedding Anniversary up north at a cabin. The cabin was beautiful and helped create a memorable experience for us all. We played games, watched the Paris Olympics, fished, ate delicious food grilled by Uncle Shawn, rode on the pontoon, and tubed. The only negative things the kids complained about were the mosquitoes and horseflies, so I'd say the trip was a success.

Camp Lebanon

This July was packed full of Camp Lebanon! Caleb decided he did not want to go this year, but the other four all signed up. Elyse and Kallen was an easy decision. Maddie was excited to join her good friend. Ian was most hesitant, but with seventeen other male classmates we encouraged him this is the year to try. He was so glad he did; he loved it and can’t wait to go back next year! Such great memories they all make at camp especially with friends and their faith.

Kallen: July 7-12

Ian and Maddie: July 14-18

Elyse:July 21-26

Rubik Cube Competition

Today Caleb experienced his first Rubik cube competition. He asked and thankfully we were able to fit it in this weekend The competition took place at Mall of America so it was really nice to have Nana come visit too. He did fantastic! The competition there was insane; one massive group with people who’ve been competing for years that can get one or two seconds. Caleb placed somewhere between 60 to 70th out of 130 people in all five events. We were so proud of him and know this will not be his first and only competition.

Best time for each type-
2x2: 3.9 seconds
3x3: 17 seconds
pyramix: 10.7 seconds
4x4: 1 min, 55 seconds
Skewb: 27 seconds

Edward Jones’ Summer Regional

Starting Thursday we packed up again and headed north to Breezy Point for Edward Jones’ Summer Regional. It has been four years since we attended one as a family thanks to Covid and other family trips. Kids were honestly not too excited. Well thanks to lots of prayer; the region we are in changed, so we met new families. Two families who love Jesus; one with six kids and one with three all in the same ages made the weekend beyond enjoyable. Kids did not want to leave at all! We swam, played pickleball, ate ice cream, went to the arcade, and laughed a lot! Kids are thrilled to return next year which is so encouraging to Dad and I.
Plus it’s always fun to hear people talk so positively about Dad. We are very proud of him.

Day 10: Last Day

Spent the last day enjoying every possible minute of God's creation before we had to pack up and go home.  To prove the beauty, as we got out of the pool to go into the condo, a rainbow appeared right in front of the mountains, which was breathtaking!

Also, we captured some stunning sunset shots to remember the vacation.

ALOHA!

Maddie Turns 10 Years Old

Today Maddie officially ended the single-digit ages in our home, because she turned 10!  Maddie got to celebrate it at her dream location, Hawaii; which makes it extra special. Maddie is very creative, strong-willed, an extrovert, and still remains the tallest in her grade. She also continues to love the ocean, swimming, art, animals, doing cartwheels, and candy!

Happy 10th Birthday Maddie!  We hope you had a great day and we love you so much sweet girl.

Since we were in Hawaii on the 22nd, Maddie celebrated by opening a few family gifts, swimming in the ocean, eating some of her favorite foods, and getting a massive amount of ice cream at Haagen-Dazs.  We then celebrated back home on Monday night with decorations, more presents, and a dinner/cake of her choice.  Friend party is still to come; apparently, celebrations don't stop when you are 10!

Day 9: Beach Day

We decided to spend the last few days at the beach or in the pool soaking in the sun.
