Day 5: Surfing and Black Rock

Today was a day of firsts.  Dad, Caleb, and Kallen took some surf lessons and hit the waves.  Both Caleb and Kallen were up the first wave and loved it from then on.  It was really fun watching them do so well.

Later that day, we walked over to Black Rock, where sea turtles swim freely. The kids saw one yesterday on the trail, but today, they were the first to swim right along with them. It was such an incredible and memorable experience. 

 

Day 4: Kapalua Trail and Nakalele Blowhole

Today might have been one of the most beautiful sights of our vacation.  We hiked the Kapalua Trail to see turtles and cliff dive.  We then hiked to see Nakalele Blowhole.  It was a little hike but worth it, super cool.  

Day 3: Shopping and Beach Day

We spent our day shopping at Wales Village (a block from our condo), riding the town's trolley around, and swimming in the beach/pool.

Day 2

Today, we spent most of our day sadly at Costco and Walmart.  Our condo had grills and a full kitchen, so we avoided having to go out to eat and made delicious meals by the beach.  Therefore, it took quite some time to get our food for the week.  We then spent the rest of the day at the beach and pool.  The waves were by far the strongest that day.

Family Vacation 2024 - Maui

Today we landed in one of God's most beautiful creations: Maui, Hawaii.  The decision to go to Maui was very last minute after talking with family friends who own a condo down there and not being able to make an executive decision on where we really wanted to go.  Anyway, it was an amazing trip; and would go back without hesitation.
