Legacy kicked off this year's "Student of Great Character" again this month with the character trait, "creativity". Ian was chosen in his class. This does not surprise me as he is one of the most creative kids I know. Whenever he has free time you can find him playing make-believe, building, designing, or creating. As always, great job Ian, we are very proud of you.

Mane Event
This morning the kids participated in one of their favorite events at Legacy, the Mane Event; the race where they get muddy, wet and enjoy every bit of spending time with friends. Today was again a success. They all finished the race as well as became muddy messes.

First Day of School
Today marked another start to a school year for the kids (and me) at Legacy Christian Academy. Once again the school welcomed the kiddos with nothing but fun; lots of picture backdrops, the mascot, music, staff, and an orange carpet. The kids were so excited to see all their friends and the staff again. However, the three oldest were not excited to walk the carpet; in fact, they just waved bye and walked in the other doors. I'm so grateful for Legacy and I know it's going to be another great year!
Side note, how did our baby start high school today?!?!

Ian's Baptism
Today marked another day that Dad and I will treasure forever; Ian chose to be baptized. I was hesitant to know if it was the right time, but after denying him three other opportunities this past year to get baptized and him continuously asking, I couldn't say no again.
Ian declared his love to trust and follow Jesus before our church family. It was such a beautiful sight that brought so much joy and happiness to Dad and me. Following the baptisms, Constance hosted a cake reception for the families and their friends. Such a blessing today was, and so proud of Ian!

Camp Lebanon Super Kids
This past week was Kallen's turn to head north to spend his week at Camp Lebanon. He was joined this year by five other classmates, three being a few of his favorite people. He said he had a great time minus the lack of sleep. So thankful to have him home.
