5th-6th Grade Musical
Last night Legacy's 5th and 6th graders put on their annual fall musical. This year was titled, "Waz Up Zak". The show was based on the biblical story of Zacchaeus. The students all did a great job, and watching both boys participate in the same show was fun. One of my favorite things by far was watching Kallen sing a solo. He looked so handsome and did a fantastic job!

Happy Halloween
This year was a beautiful Halloween, with temperatures in the high 60s, just perfect. Therefore, we took many opportunities to do outdoor activities but didn't capture pictures. We spent our weekend, at two Trunk-o-Treats, went to a huge Legacy Halloween party, and then Trick-o-Treating Halloween night. Such a fun way to celebrate a fun holiday. Elyse had other things going on and therefore, wasn't able to participate in it all or capture pictures.

Deep Portage
The past few days, Kallen and Dad joined the rest of the fifth-grade class, teachers, and parents up north at a camp called, "Deep Portage". While there they learned a lot about nature and preserving it, like building fires, making shelters, working as a team, rock climbing, getting lost in the middle of the woods, archery, and other games.
Grandparent's Day
Today was Grandparent's Day, and unfortunately with dad and Kallen being gone, and dad's huge test next Saturday, it worked better for Grandpa and Grandma to visit a different weekend. Therefore, Grandparent's day involved just Nana. Therefore, Ian knew Nana couldn't be at two spots at once and therefore, asked our great school friend Sue Happ, whom kids call, "Nana Happ" to go as their grandma too. It made her cry and worked great. Ian and Maddie loved having Nana there, going to the book fair, and performing their songs, but their highlight of the day by far was going to Willy McCoys afterward and getting great food, and an amazing dessert!

Ian is "Student of Great Character"
Legacy kicked off this year's "Student of Great Character" again this month with the character trait of trust. Ian was chosen in his class. This does not surprise me as he is one of the most trustworthy kids I know. In fact, on his certificate, his teacher wrote, "I always know that I can trust you!" So proud of him!

Legacy's Mane Event
Today Dad and the kids participated in their school's annual "Mane Event". It's a free community-run event of a 1.5-mile obstacle course that all five ran this year. The course involved the same obstacles of running, tire obstacles, lily pads over a freezing pool, a rope course, ninja stagier steps, a giant wall, a mud pit, a car wash, and the newest, a super long slip n'slide. After they all successfully crossed the finish line, they quickly dried off and changed; and then played on the playground, ate Pizza Ranch pizza, and hung out with friends. The entire morning was supposed to be cold, but turned out beautiful thanks to the weather, safety, and the community!
