Advent Day 2

Donate Food to Local Food Shelf with the Help From Local Fire Department

Every year our local fire department decks out the fire trucks and delivers candy canes to kids while collecting food for the local food shelf. The kids don't wait for the fire truck to arrive at our house, instead, they think it's more enjoyable to go find the fire trucks in the other neighborhoods. This year we actually successfully found both trucks and two different locations.

Forever Friend

While in Iowa this last weekend, I was blessed to see my long-time and best friend, Joni. This time was extra special as Joni had the fun idea of bringing the daughters along to do a mother-daughter outing. It was a memory that I will cherish forever.

Thanksgiving Break

This past Thanksgiving break we headed down to Grandpa and Grandma's. We had a wonderful time with delicious food. The kids got to do some fun activities, boys went shooting with Grandpa while girls went shopping with Grandma.

"Back to the Beginning"

Tonight Legacy's 5th and 6th graders put on their annual fall musical.  This year was titled, "Backed to the Beginning".  The students all did a great job, but my favorite part by far was watching Caleb play the role of the snake (Satan)! So proud of him for taking a part that involved being on the stage and having a speaking role, even if it was evil.

Bonus, Caleb participated in the band concert before the musical to show off his trumpet skills.

Elyse's Volleyball End of the Year Tournament

Today, Elyse finished another season of Legacy volleyball with an all-day tournament.  The team got a bi the first game, won the second, and then played in the championship game at 4:00 PM.  The team they played was very aggressive, but still not a match for Elyse and the girls.  They won the entire tournament, ended the championship game with a 25-23 win and a 25-12 win!  Go LIONS!

Happy Halloween

Since Halloween landed on a Sunday of a busy weekend, we decided to celebrate Halloween a little differently; it was still fun with lots of candy. We did a lot of "Trunk or Treats" instead of actual late-night "Trick or Treat". We did it with our church and companies around our town.

Elyse: big baby
Caleb: stick man
Kallen: Chewbacca
Ian: lion
Maddie: gorilla
