Thanks to the kiddos starting school this week, we celebrated Nana's birthday a few days early. We spent our day hanging out, played games, swam, ate a delicious dinner, opened a few goodies, and ate yummy birthday cake. Hope she felt as special as she is. Love her to pieces. Happy Birthday, Nana!

Duplo Lego
Yesterday I happened to pull out the Duplo bin and the boys went crazy making things. They eventually worked together to make this tower and they have played with it for hours since. Sometimes I believe I will never be able to get rid of the younger toys.

Ian Lost First Tooth
Last night Ian had dad try to pull his tooth out with the famous tooth-pulling pliers. Unfortunately, Ian's tooth was too tiny for pliers to grab and then needle noise slid right off, so Ian went to bed in slight pain and with his tooth still in tact. This morning however dad put his fingers on the tooth and with a little yank, the tooth came out and Ian can't stop smiling!

The Speckmans Visit
Since last Wednesday we had the privilege of having my brother, Steven, and his family over. Thanks to some uncontrollable circumstances and Covid-19 we haven't been able to see one another in almost two years. Thankfully when we were all together it was like we saw them last week. The kids played great the entire time. We spent much of our time just hanging out and swimming. We did get to go to Taylor's Falls one morning, watched a Trolls World Tour show put on by the kiddos, pulled out Silas' first tooth, and hung out in the basement bathroom while tornado sirens were going off. Overall, our time flew by and we hope it isn't another two years till we get to see them again.

Card Castles
Caleb discovered you can make castles with a deck of cards, and lo and behold within 10 minutes it was the kids' activity of the day.

Human Fishes
This is where you can find us majority of our summer and we wouldn't have it any other way! Beyond grateful for family time and the pool.
