Happy Easter

Today we celebrated Easter, just a little different this year thanks to the Coronavirus and 4 inches of snow. We still spent our day doing most of our annual Easter traditions, watching not attending church to praise Jesus for dying for our sins, did the Easter story with resurrection eggs, did an egg hunt, colored our eggs, ate Easter brownies, and spent the day hanging out as a family thanking Jesus for what He has done.

Happy Easter!

Fort Building

Thanks to the Coronavirus, we are still stuck at home trying to find things to do. Our school is so awesome at continuously trying to keep the community together, every Friday they do fun activities through zoom. Today's was, "Build a Fort". So families got on zoom to see each other's forts and go through the fort with each other. The boys love making them, so this was a no brainer that they were going to participate.  The forts, zoom session, and Legacy's community event did not disappoint, it was a great way to start off our Friday after a beautiful hour of chapel!

Typical Wednesday Night

This image is something that has become a regular on Wednesday nights.  Kids get pillows, blankets and lay on the floor to watch "The Mask Singer".

Gym Class

One rule in our distance learning gym class today, no training wheels were allowed!

In all seriousness, they both learned super fast and are doing awesome! Can't wait for long summer bike rides.

Distance Learning

Today kicked off the first official day of distance learning. Some parts were smooth and some were just plain ugly. I love having the kids home but not really looking forward to having to educate them and do this for the next weeks or months. We will get through it with lots of prayer and grace. I will admit they looked really cute in their little spots working hard.

Coronavirus Quarantine

Officially on week two of being quarantined due to the coronavirus.  We have thankfully gotten along really well but it's probably because we have watched lots of movies, played games, and built lots of Legos.  Well thanks to dad and craigslist, he surprised us all Sunday with a Wii. So after reading today without me begging and no complaining, they were quickly rewarded with fun family Wii competitions.

LCA Community

I often have moments where I am just beyond grateful for being a part of our school's community. Today was one of those days! I watched my kids not play their tablets, but talk to friends all morning who they miss tremendously. Then we got to celebrate the staff and all their hard work making our education become online next week by surprising them with other parents and students hunky their horns and waving signs to celebrate them while being 6 feet apart. We all miss each other so much and are waiting for this virus to get done so we can get back into seeing each other every day.
