Kindergarten Christmas Caroling

Today I got the opportunity to help chaperone Ian and the rest of the kindergartners to a senior living center right near the school.  We all bundled up and walked about a mile to visit the elderly there.  The kids sang Christmas carols, shared some Christmas bible verses, and handed out homemade cards.  It was super adorable and I am so glad I got to share in this memory with him.

Advent Day 16

Celebrate Caleb's 9th Birthday

Today our advent activity was just as fun as yesterday because we celebrated Caleb turning 9.  We spent our night opening gifts, eating his dinner of choice (oatmeal), eating cake, and playing with lots of his new goodies.

As stated yesterday, we celebrated Caleb on Saturday with a friends' party at Jam Hops too.  Caleb had nine of his classmates join him jumping, doing ninja obstacles, nerf wars, etc.  We also ate pizza and cake, as well as opened lots of gifts.

Caleb Turns 9 Years Old

Today Caleb turns 9, last year in single digits!  He is growing up so quickly, and this last year he grew leaps and bounds in maturity and in joy.  It has been such an honor recently being his parents, so proud of him!

Our nine year old can be described as still very inquisitive (has to touch everything!), independent, outdoorsy, athletic, Minecraft player, lover of water, and artsy.

Happy 9th Birthday, Caleb!
Have hope you have a great day and we love you.

Advent Day 15

Celebrate Ian's 6th Birthday

Today our advent activity was so fun and emotional for me because we celebrated Ian turning 6.  We spent our day with lots of family time, opening gifts, and of course, eating cake.

Yesterday we celebrated Ian a day early with a friends' party.  He invited eight of his close friends from school to Jam Hops.  Jam Hops is an indoor gymnastics/ninja warrior facility located right by us.  The kids spent two hours jumping, doing ninja obstacles, nerf wars, etc.  We also ate pizza and cake, as well as opened lots of gifts.  Ian said that was just the best birthday ever.

Ian Turns 6 Years Old

Today our baby boy turned 6!  Every year it is so hard watching him get older as I still think of (and probably treat) him as two.  He brings me (and most of the time just me) so much joy, yet everyone still loves him unconditionally, and joyfully love celebrating him!

Ian's smile is contagious.  His excitement for things is beyond describable.  He still has many same loves as last year including crafts (smelly markers), Legacy colors, sorting, puzzles, organizing, school, and Hatchimals!

Happy 6th Birthday, Ian!
We love you so much.
