Elyse Graduates from 4th Grade

Elyse officially graduated from the 4th grade this morning.  At Legacy, 4th grade is the end of their elementary school age.  She is off to 5th grade in the fall which is considered middle school.  (This week is just full of emotions and kids getting too big for me to handle.) The graduation was beautiful.  It took place during Legacy's weekly chapel.  The ceremony involved the kids walking in with the graduation march, them leading everyone else in worship, listening to Mr. Nydam's message, watching a slideshow, and ending with them receiving their diplomas.  After the ceremony, we celebrated in the gym with desserts, fellowship, and laughter.  Way to go, Elyse!  We are so proud of you sweetie!  Love you.

Preschool Graduation

Tonight Ian graduated from preschool.  The day went so fast and the night just flew by.  I held it all together until the very end.  The ceremony involved kids walking in wearing their gowns, watching an adorable video, listening to the kids sing songs, and watching them receive their diplomas.  It's so bittersweet that our baby boy will be in kindergarten in the fall.  So proud of him!   He is so smart, funny, spunky, and strong-willed.  Special thanks to his teacher, Mrs. Klobe for being such a blessing.

Track and Field Day

Today was Track and Field day at the kiddos school.  That meant we once again spent the morning as a family cheering on one another in track and field events.  It was officially Elyse's last time so a little bittersweet in that perspective.  Overall, the day was great!  The weather was beautiful, a bunch of fellowship time, lots of laughter, and the kiddos all came home with at least one ribbon of 1st, 2nd or 3rd place.  So proud of them!  

Compassion Experience

Today we joined friends at Compassion International's real life experience of what is means to be a child in poverty who becomes sponsored and taught about God and His word. It was such a great experience for the kids to see the life of these children and hear stories. Such a great opportunity to build our kids' hearts for the less fortunate. Look forward to doing some real life missions with them in the future.
