Little League

For the past few weeks, Caleb has been having practices to get ready for today, the official kick off of his little league. Could not ask for a better baseball day, a bunch of friends, yummy concession food snacks, perfect weather, a win, and watching Caleb hit a great hit while up at-bat.

Preschool Field Trip

Today I joined Ian and 19 other preschoolers on their annual field trip to Elmstead Elderly Home.  The kiddos walked a block to the home where they sang songs, and then handed out cards and gave hugs to the elderly.  They did such a great job and I know the elderly loved seeing them.  Following their little program, they got to enjoy the rest of their day next store at McDonald's.  The children got to play in the play place and then receive a happy meal and cookie for a job well done.

  

Mother's Knight

Legacy put on their first mother-son dance.  For the past few years, the boys have watched Elyse and Dad get dressed up, go out to eat, and dance the night away with friends; so when they found out it was our turn, I don't know who was more excited, them or me?!  

We had a great time and the night flew by.  The event was designed to teach the boys how to truly treat a woman of God and respect females in general.  We went out to eat (boys obviously chose), while at the event, we played games, made crafts, ate delicious desserts, and danced.  It was such a great night for us all.  Thank you boys for making me feel so loved.

Elementary's Spring Production

Last night was Legacy's elementary's spring program.  This is the only year that all four kiddos will perform together so it was extra special.  All four did such a fabulous job!  I actually got emotional watching all of them praise God with such joyful hearts for an hour.  Although the highlight of the night had to go to Elyse, the star of the show.  She not only ended the show with the last speaking part, she was the only one with a solo and rocked it!  She really is a shining star on stage.  Great job kiddos, we were so proud of you all!

Groundbreaking Event

Legacy broke ground today at 1:00 with a huge celebration of staff, board members, community leaders, students, and families.  We broke ground to celebrate our $5.9 million growth expansion of the facility.  The expansion includes brand new educational, art, science, and music classrooms, as well as a weight room and better locker rooms.  The doors plan to open in fall 2020 and we are so excited that the kids will be able to experience this new adventure at Legacy.

Happy Birthday, Mom

Today we celebrated me turning another year older. The kids did a fabulous job making cards by themselves and treating one another so kindly which is all I asked for.  Dad also grilled a delicious dinner with yummy ice cream cake that followed. It was a great day.
