He is Risen Indeed!
Today we celebrated Easter. We spent our day doing our annual Easter traditions, got in our best attire to go to church to praise Jesus for dying for our sins, came home to do the Easter story with resurrection eggs, opened our Easter baskets, and spent the day hanging out as a family thanking Jesus for what He has done.

14 Year Anniversary
Today marks 14 years of marrying my best friend. We were actually able to have lunch kid free while they were at school and enjoy the 68 sunny degree day, a perfect way to start off our 14th year. So thankful for our marriage based on God, love, laughter, honesty, communication, friendship, and family. So looking forward to many more years to come. Happy Anniversary love.

NCAA Tournament
Last night the NCAA tournament ended with its final game right here in MN. This past weekend the Convention Center held fun family activities for all ages plus an opportunity to see the NCAA's trophy. The boys went down Saturday with Dad, Grandpa, and Grandma. They weren't able to finish it all and Elyse wanted to check it out, so us six headed back down Sunday afternoon. We even got some 3-3 family competitions where Dad, Kallen, and Ian beat Elyse, Caleb, and me. Overall, a great memory that we can relive every March when March Madness kicks off.

Hello Dolly!
This past weekend kicked off the six-show production that has been rehearsed since January. Like many high schools, Legacy puts on a spring musical for the community. However, since the school is lower in the population they give 4th-12th graders the chance to try-out and perform. This was one of the many reasons Elyse wanted to attend Legacy. Well, she tried out and quickly showed Dad and me that she is a drama-lifer. She improved her behavior and grades inside the classroom showing her passion. We had the joy to see her perform Saturday and she outshined like I can't describe. She was beautiful, graceful and it was impossible to not see her smile unlike many. So proud of her and look forward to seeing her succeed in this passion in the next eight years at Legacy.
Fun memory at the end of the show opening night...she was the only one that came out at her group's cue, and so she got to the end of the stage all to herself, looked left, looked right, smiled, and took her bow, and got a standing ovation. Even Dolly didn't get that :)

Junior Achivement
For the past six weeks, Dad and I have taught the fourth graders through a program called, "Junior Achievement". It's teaching kids business and real life work experiences, like paychecks and balancing checkbooks. Today this years program came to an end at BizTown. The students spent the entire day working in their corporations; they focused on their tasks in order to successfully make their products, sell those products, and pay back their corporations' taxes and loans. Super fun experience for us to share in it with Elyse.

Kallen's Star Wars Party
Kallen asked to have a Star Wars theme for his seventh birthday. Dad and I spent a while trying to figure out what that would look like. We finally came up with a great idea and it was such a success. We used our church again because nothing is more conducive for ten first grade boys than a big room to run around in. The party consisted of the boys becoming Jedi Knights. They learned how to race the Y-Wings, (scooter races), dodge asteroids (dodge ball), and fight with lightsabers. Although the highlight for them all was the training that involved fighting Darth Vader. Our 6'8" friend, Lamar volunteered to dress up and surprise them all. After the boys accomplished their tasks they were rewarded with their certificates. We ended the party with cake and opening presents. We asked Kallen if he had fun and he said it was by far his favorite party he has ever had, I call that a win.
