This past weekend was Edward Jones' Region 113 Annual Summer Regional. The regional took place at Sugarlake Resort in Cohasset, MN. The weather was perfect, the resort was the most hospitable resort we have ever been at, we had lots of fun, and Dad rocked it at the award ceremony receiving two major honors. We are so proud of him; plus we loved that we could celebrate his success with a family get-a-way.

Two Wheels
Some friends of ours just recently gave us a bike trailer so we decided to adventure out today on a family bike ride, unfortunately no pictures were taken, major mom failure. But before we took off Kallen was asked by dad to get rid of his training wheels and within a matter of a few minutes the boy was riding a bike not with four wheels but two. Way to go Kallen!

Happy Father's Day
Today we celebrated dad. The day wasn't much different than a normal Sunday but it was great making dad feel a little more special. We went to church, flag football was cancelled due to the excessive heat index, so we went to our local pool to swim on dad's request. Lastly we had dinner and cuddled on the couch to watch a family movie.
We love you, are so thankful for you and hope you had a great day!

Legacy's Summer Camps
This past week the two older kids participated in some fun camps at their school. Elyse did volleyball camp and thankfully loved it; Caleb joined some of his closest classmates for a week of reading, writing and learning about Greece with hands on activities.

Joyful Noise 2018
This past weekend, our local christian radio station put on their annual musical festival called, "Joyful Noise". The weekend is packed full of live concerts, concessions, company booths, inflatables and games. Dad decided to sponsor the event again this year and did a fabulous job. He spent his day meeting people while the kids and I spent ours doing all the fun activities. Then at night Dad, Elyse, Ava and I headed back to watch the closing late bands (Crowder, Jeremy Camp, Mandisa and For King & Country). Besides a little rain/storm warning that closed things for a short period in the first few hours, the weekend had no disappointments.

Visit to Keokuk
This past weekend was Memorial Weekend so we headed south to visit Grandpa and Grandma. The weather was hot and in the 90's so we spent much of our time trying to be in water. The kids had fun water gun fights, boys went fishing, girls ran a 5K to benefit "Girls on the Run", we had fun at Burlington's Fun City water-park minus the deep cut for Ian. Overall, this weekend was a trip with everlasting memories and unfortunately for Ian, scars to prove it.
Special thanks to Grandpa and Grandma for a great visit and wonderful hospitality! Love you both.
