Flag Football

Today was the kick-off of both Caleb and dad's first season of flag football.  Some of our good friends asked if we would be interested in signing up one of our boys to play with their son and the dads could coach.  Caleb really wanted to play and so much of our Sunday afternoons now involve hanging out on the flag football fields with friends cheering on some of the greatest guys we know.  They may have lost their first game but I know they both really had a great time.

Legacy's Spring Production

Last night the kiddos joined the rest of their elementary classmates to perform their spring production, "Faith Hall of Fame" (history of some key bible characters).  Kindergartners went first with four songs and bible verses, Kallen did a great job!  Following that Elyse and Caleb went on stage to sing over forty-five minutes of songs and narrative parts.  Elyse was chosen to both sing on the main stage and speak, we were so proud!  The kiddos overall really did a fantastic job and it was so fun to watch and celebrate their success with them.

Awana's End of the Year Party

Tonight the kiddos checked off another successful year of Awana.  Next year they will all stay in their current program, just move up to the next level.  They had such a great year and we love seeing them learn their bible verses and continue to grow in the Lord.  Tonight's party consisted for the kids receiving their awards, eating yummy ice cream sundaes, and dancing the night away.  

Legacy's Spring Production

Dad, Elyse and Elyse's best friend, Ava got to attend Legacy's spring musical, "My Fair Lady".  Due to the blizzard last Saturday we had to reschedule for Friday night's show.  The tickets weren't as good but the show once again did not fail.  Elyse loved it and already asked if she can go next year again?  We love her enjoyment of musicals, because it's one of our favorite things too!

Happy 13th Anniversary

Today we celebrated thirteen years of marriage!  Unfortunately due to the blizzard this weekend, kids and work we were unable to celebrate with just us.  Although we are hopeful that God will continue to bless us with many more years in which we can celebrate it right.  Overall, beyond grateful to wake up and fall asleep next to my best friend every night.

School Buddy

Every Thursday I have been taking an online foster care training on infants and toddlers of trauma. Really enjoy the class but really enjoy my buddy next to me working hard on his school stuff more.

He is Risen!

Today we celebrated one of my favorite days throughout the whole year, Easter.  We spent our day doing our annual Easter traditions, got in our best attire to go to church to praise Jesus for dying for our sins, came home to do the Easter story with resurrection eggs, opened our Easter bags, and ate a delicious meal as a family (this year was in the company of friends).  The day ended with fun family time thanking Jesus for what He has done.
