Rise Up with Jesus

Today was our church's annual Easter activity called, "Rise Up with Jesus".  The morning was filled with activities that taught children the true meaning of Easter.  We were welcomed by a live donkey.  Following that we had the last supper, prayed as Jesus did, tasted the vinegar Jesus did just before he died, did a Jesus takes away our sins activity, take home crafts and ate yummy treats.  Such a special and memorable activity our church does that I really appreciate!

Kallen Turns 6 Years Old

Today Kallen turns 6!  It feels like yesterday that our little chunky monkey was welcomed into this world.  He is growing up before our eyes to become one intelligent, humorous, engineer boy who thankfully still asks for his nightly cuddles.

Currently Kallen loves anything to do with Legos, playing with friends, school, swimming, games, and Ninjago Ninjas.

Happy 6th Birthday, Kallen!
We are so thankful for you and we hope you have a great day!
We love you so much.

Ninjago Ninja Lego Birthday Party

Kallen decided for this 6th birthday that he enjoyed everything about Caleb's party so much he wanted to do the same thing for his.  So he too had a Lego Ninjago Ninja party with 9 of his closest buddies.  The party consisted of the boys playing Ninja bingo, attempting to pass through Dad's awesome ninja course, decorating their golden ninja swords, eating cake and Kallen opening his presents.

Book Fair

Today was Legacy's Annual Book Fair.  February is "I Love to Read Month" at school and the students are encouraged to read longer than normal requirements and then make a display of their favorite book.  Minus typing out the boys' responses and helping to find pictures online, their projects were done on their own and they turned out great!  Elyse presented hers to the families while the boys stood by their work and answered questions family members may have had.  Very proud of the three and all their hard work this month.

Elyse: Clementine and the Spring Trip
Caleb: Ricky Ricotta's Mighty Robot vs. the Mosquitoes from Mercury
Kallen: Brief Thief

Ice Skating

We live in the state of doing fun winter activities and today was the first time any of the kiddos had ice skated.  Our local community center has an indoor rink where you can rent ice skates and skate for up to 2 hours.  Kids, especially Caleb have been asking for a few weeks.  We decided to adventure out today.  The kids did great with the help of the skater bar.  By the end Elyse was skating on her own.  We even met up with some good friends which was even more fun.

Snow Tunnel

With  6" of snow two days ago and another estimated 8 overnight the kids are having nonstop fun in the snow.  Dad and the boys built a great snow tunnel in the front yard today.

Daddy-Daughter Ball

Last Friday was Legacy's Annual "Daddy-Daughter" dance.  I think all elementary girls who attend Legacy anticipates this day from the first day of school.  It's a huge night where both dads and daughters get all dressed up, are encouraged to go out to dinner together, and then spend their time in fellowship and dancing the night away.  Elyse looked beautiful and felt like a princess once again.  Memories that I know will last them both a lifetime.
