Happy Thanksgiving

This past Tuesday our church had their Thanksgiving service.  The entire service was devoted to worship and a time where the church body can come up and share what they are thankful for.  The first half was for children to share and all four of ours did; Elyse said, "Her family", Caleb said, "Food", Kallen said, "God", Ian said, "Everything".  I loved that they shared what they are thankful for, however, the thing that I enjoyed most was what our pastor Randy said, "Thanksgiving is the only holiday that God commands us to celebrate."  So on this Thanksgiving, a holiday I don't usually get super excited about I will enjoy every minute of the day.

Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving!  I sure will because I have a lot to be thankful for.

Buddy Bear

Last Friday when Ian was chosen to bring Buddy Bear home for the week he was beyond thrilled!  Buddy Bear has come home now with every child and Ian asked him if he remembered anything because he had already been to the house and seen it. Ha!  Ian did a fabulous job taking care of Buddy Bear and bringing him with us everywhere we went.  I know he will have a hard time giving him up tomorrow but I'm glad he got the opportunity to do some great things with Buddy Bear.

Home Expo

Anoka county had their annual Home Expo today.  Dad signed up to have a booth and represented himself all day. He did a fantastic job and I know it took a lot of time and effort. The kids were also not going to pass up an opportunity to see Dad and get lots of free candy and stuff from other booths, ha.

Urban Air

So I just happened to be going through my phone and came across these great pictures that I can't believe I almost forgot to post.  Last weekend when Grandpa and Grandma were here they took the kiddos to "Urban Air" a local trampoline playground.  The kids loved every minute of their 2.5 hours there.  They did lots of trampoline jumping, rope courses, wall climbing, jousting and zip-lining.  There's not a doubt in our minds that this will be a place we go again real soon.

Pumpkin Failure

So I don't know where October went as we didn't even purchase any pumpkins and therefore didn't have the chance to carve them.  Thankfully last Friday we went to Chick fil-a for lunch and they generously gave each child their own little pumpkin to take home.  Saturday morning the snow put a damper on my carving attitude so we brought out the permanent markers and let the kids decorate their pumpkins instead.  I told the kids I will do way better next year.

Happy Halloween

This year's Halloween involved a night of fun and fast trick o'treating.  With temperatures in the low 30s we had to improvise last minute on costumes and bundle up to enjoy ourselves.  Elyse went as what she called, "A bad luck cat", and the boys were Lego Ninjago ninjas.  Overall the night was full of smiles and tummies full of candy.

Pumpkin Day

Last Friday while the grandparents were with the three oldest, I got the privilege to spend the morning with the youngest.  Ian and I participated in his class' Halloween party.  While there he made a pumpkin mask, went on a little trick o'treat parade throughout the preschool, played games, and ate yummy apples with caramel.  Overall the morning was so much fun for both Ian and I.
