Memorial Weekend Getaway

This past memorial weekend when most Minnesotans head north to their cabins, we headed south to Iowa to spend time with Grandpa and Grandma.  We are so happy we did because we had a fabulous time!  We spent our time staying busy by either playing at FunCity, catching up with lifelong friends, fishing, feeding ducks, playing at parks, eating delicious summer foods and/or watching dogs play.

Fishing Bragging Rights
- Caught the first fish: Ian
- Caught the most fish: Elyse and Caleb (tied)
- Caught fish all on their own: Elyse and Caleb (tied)
- Caught largest fish: Kallen (a bass)
- Caught smallest fish: Ian

Special thank to Grandpa and Grandma for having us!  Love and miss you already.

Last Day of School

Technically today was the kids' last day of school, however I feel like yesterday was.  The reason is because today the entire elementary school met at our local zoo and had a family fun day.  We walked the zoo, and then we headed over to the park and picnic area to end the year together as an entire body instead of individual classes.  I just can't get over how much of a community Legacy school is.    Loved this year and sad it is done; but also excited for  summer fun to start.

Preschool Graduation

Today Kallen graduated preschool.  I'm going to be honest and admit I definitely shed many tears.  I love this preschool and his teachers.  All three kids have had them for extended day preschool and I'm so sad that Ian might not.  Anyway, we focused on the good things today and celebrated Kallen moving onto kindergarten in the fall.  His day involved playing with his classmates, eating ice cream treats, attending chapel and getting his certificate of graduation with bubbles.

Way to go, Kallen!  We are all so proud of you buddy!

Name on the Door

The boys and I went to visit Dad today and right away I noticed that his name finally was on the front door.  It made me so proud of him; it represented not only that he officially owns his own office, but that he has made it as a financial adviser.

Way to go hun!  I know how hard you have worked to support us and your business.  So thankful for you, love you and proud of you!

Mother's Day

Today was Mother's Day and I was blessed to be able to celebrate it with some of my favorite people, Dad, the kiddos and my mom.  The day involved opening gifts that Dad and the kids made for me, including a "Thankful board" and individual cards.  We then ate breakfast together, attended church, did some fun house decor shopping, and spent the day outside in the 80's (another favorite thing of mine).  It was a great day full of lots of love, smiles and joy.  So grateful to be called "Mom" to these four kiddos.
