Garage Sale

A couple weeks back Dad (Nate) and Nana brought up the idea of having a garage sale to clear out our storage unit and get rid of all our baby stuff.  After giving much away to friends and people who needed it, we sold the rest.   The temps were in the 90's making it pretty miserable but the sale was nothing more than a success!  Also with temps that high, the kiddos had a very successful lemonade stand too.

Blog Post Worthy

Dad (Nate) captured this picture last Friday while at Elyse's dance recital.  I just love it.  Even though Ian looks so grown up in this picture, he will always be my baby boy.  Love him to pieces!

village127's Summer Social

Tonight we had our annual "village127's Summer Social".  The social was the same as in the years past, a bunch of adoptive families in the community coming together to fellowship and have fun.  The social once again involved inflatables, temporary tattoos, coloring, outdoor games, and great food; this year we also  invited an amazing balloon artist which was the highlight for the kiddos.  The night went off with nothing but success.

Spring Dance Recital

Last night Elyse had her spring dance recital. She did FABULOUS!  She performed a ballet, tap and jazz routine.  Jazz was by far her favorite, and it was evident as she was right-on for everything.  So proud of you, Elyse!

Elyse with her coaches she loves so much.

Just for fun...the parent dance that Nate and Elyse danced together.  (They are in the back row behind the girl in the pink pants and her mom.)

Summer Kick-off Party

Today the boys and I were invited to a "Summer Kick-off Party" at one of our friend's house.  The party was for kids (and their families) who graduated kindergarten and preschool.  There was water activities, outdoor games, delicious food, cake and the best surprise, the inflatable.  None of the kiddos wanted the party to end so us moms were forced into committing to do more of these throughout the summer, ha!

(Unfortunately I did not capture pictures nor did the boys want to take their picture because we were having too much fun.)

Sprinkler Fun

With temps in the 80's and humid it was only appropriate to hook up the sprinkler.  It was so much fun to watch all four run in and out of it for over an hour.  Love summer like days!

Just Like Dad

This morning before church I asked Ian what shirt he wanted to wear between two.  He quickly grabbed the red one and said, "One with buttons like Dad."  PRICELESS and my heart melted!
