Lunch in the Cafeteria

Today while Caleb was at preschool, Kallen, Ian and I surprised Elyse by joining her for lunch in the cafeteria.  We have done this a few times this year and it's really debatable on who loves it more, her or the boys?!?

An Engineered Style Fort

Kids asked if they could build a fort using our blankets and pillows.  We agreed, but within a few minutes Dad stepped up and used his engineering skills to make a high class sturdy fort with secret hideouts and tunnels.  Mom's blanket over the chair and side-table is not going to cut it ever again. (Picture does not do justice.)

Too Many Pillows

At first I thought it was a one time thing, but we are going on three days of this same activity for Ian.  He runs around the house, grabs all accessory pillows and makes a huge pile.  He then proceeds to do things like play toys by his pile or simply sit on it.  The ironic thing is we have tried to put a pillow in his bed and he throws it out.

Trend Setters?!?

While at Claire's getting some stuff for Elyse, it only took about 1 minute for the boys to find some fun accessories too.

Sledding Fun

We have kicked off 2016 with non-stop fun!  Dad (Nate) surprised us by taking the entire weekend off so we could spend time doing lots of family activities.  We hit up a few malls, ate out more than normal, played a ton, and ended the weekend with some sledding.  Here's to 2016 being full of more laughter, love and joy.

Top 10 of 2015

This year has once again come and gone in a blink of an eye!  The year has been filled with many blessings; and the following list below (in no particular order) are Nate and my top 10 favorite things that took place in 2015.
  1. Seeing our extended family that lives throughout the US
  2. Being apart of many amazing ministries at our church
  3. Celebrating 10 years of marriage
  4. Celebrating Elyse turning 7, Caleb turning 5, Kallen turning 3 and Ian turning 2
  5. Family vacation to the Wisconsin Dells with Nana last February
  6. Nate starting his own business as a financial adviser for Edward Jones
  7. Elyse, Caleb and Kallen being apart of Awana
  8. Building new friendships that we foresee being lifelong ones
  9. Caleb and Kallen starting preschool
  10. Joining the YMCA and watching the kids become actively involved in sports and swimming
May you all have a blessed 2016!

Marshall and Chase

Yesterday we went to one of our favorite places, Mall of America and Nickelodeon Universe. It ended up being one of the best times the kids have ever had there because they were able to meet Marshall and Chase from Paw Patrol.  I've never seen Kallen smile so much and run up to a non-family member so quickly to give them a hug.
