Celebrate Ian's 2nd Birthday
Ian loves trains, so when it came to making a theme for his second birthday it was easy for us to decide to throw him a Thomas the Train or what he calls, "Choo-choo" party. He was non-stop smiles the entire day, so I will assume he had a wonderful second birthday.
Happy 2nd Birthday, Ian!
Today our adorable, happy, strong-willed, intelligent, stubborn and busy little man turns 2!?! I honestly cannot believe he is two already. He has grown up faster than the other three combined. He currently loves trains, balls, games, being outside, playing with his siblings, being read to, and his elephant named, Ellie. Ian, you will forever be my baby boy and I wish I could freeze time; but since that's impossible, I will continue to treasure every hug, cuddle, kiss, and every tear you cry when I leave you I can get right now.

Open New Ornament and Hang it on the Christmas Tree
Shop and Buy a Toy for "Toys for Tots"
This Advent activity was another new one, and it's a great one. We wanted to hold this one off until majority of the kids got it, and they sure did this year. They never once asked us to buy them a toy, and thought hard and long for the right toy they each wanted to buy for a little boy or girl. They then joyfully put them in the basket and left the store with smiles. So proud of them and their hearts for others.
Make Peppermint Ornaments
Today we spent our morning making personal peppermint ornaments. A simple craft for kids to do that turn out really cool, are super easy to do, and make the Christmas tree smell wonderful!
Instructions:
1. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper
2. Lay down metal cookie cutters
3. Spray the inside with non-stick spray
4. Lay peppermints into cookie cutter, the more the better
5. Bake for 3-9 minutes at 350
6. Once they melt, remove from oven, spray toothpick with non-stick and make holes in each ornament
7. Let ornament fully cool, and slowly move cookie cutter to release ornament. :)
Word of Advice: you may want to make more than one ornament per child in case your child drops it on the kitchen floor, ornament will shatter :) Poor Ian!
