Labor Day Bonfire

Nate came up with a wonderful family activity today.  It was cloudy and cool when we started the process and thankfully sunny and warm when we were all done.  Anyway, he recommended that we take the kids out to our bonfire pit in the backyard and eat some yummy smores.  The kids had a great time watching him and then even a better time eating them.  A perfect way to end Labor Day weekend, thanks hun for such a great afternoon.

 

 

The Great Minnesota Get Together

Yesterday Nate and I spent the entire day on a date without the kids :)  My mom willingly volunteered to come up and watch them so we could enjoy some alone time as well have a stress-free day at the Minnesota State Fair.  It was a hot, but really was relaxing and a lot of fun.  Plus we had the privilege of meeting up and spending time with our great friends, Kris and Kristi Brown (who were hoping to go into labor that night after all that walking, no such luck).  Overall, a perfect and memorable way to start off Labor Day weekend.  Hope you all have a great holiday weekend as well.

A humongous thanks to my mom for watching the kiddos all day.  We all love and appreciate you so much!  You really are one major blessing to us.  Thanks again.

Thursday Treat

Nate decided early this morning to treat the kids to a special day.  Nate got it approved for the kids to come visit him at work and see all the equipment.  Even though it wasn't the most exciting for Elyse, the boys LOVED it.  After having our special tour by Nate, he then treated us all by taking us out to eat.  Overall, it was a very special morning for us all.

Early Birthday Celebration

My mom's birthday happens to fall on this upcoming Monday, the 26th.  Due to her and our busy schedules, yesterday was the only day we could surprise her and celebrate.  Therefore, the kids and I spent our morning buying flowers, making cards, as well as baking and decorating a cake.  So when Nate got home we all headed down to Apple Valley and threw her a surprise birthday party.  It was a lot of fun for both the kids and I. 

Happy early Birthday, Mom!  We love you and love celebrating you!

Klauser Family Visit

Starting last Friday night we had the privilege of hosting Nate's brother's family from New Mexico and his parents from Iowa.  Needless to say, the weather was not exactly pool cooperative, but was perfect for outdoor activities and even some beach fun.  Most of our time involved us catching up while the kids played together.  Thankfully between Amelia and us we did capture a few memorable pictures. 

Overall, it was so much fun and we thank you all for traveling up to see us!  We miss you already.
