Kallen Turns 11 Months

A tear is slowly running down my cheek as I type, Kallen turns eleven months today.  As previously posted, he grew what felt like six months last month alone, so I am excited to see what month eleven has in store for him. Overall, we are overjoyed to celebrate Kallen being eleven months old today.
Kallen, we love you so much and hope you have a wonderful last month being a baby before you officially become a toddler.

Mr. Princess

This is what happens when you have an older sister and your mom is upstairs for 2 minutes changing your younger brother's diaper.
She's so proud of herself ;)

Valentine's Social

As you can see from the picture below, our small group at church isn't really small, but sure is awesome and composed of some really amazing people that we consider family. Last night at group we decided to turn our discussion time into a night of eating, fellowship and the kids exchanging Valentine treats.  The night was a big success and a great way to kick off Valentine's week. (Elyse has parties at Awana and school this week too.)

Kallen's Plan

It has been evident for the past two weeks that Kallen's plan on life is very different than mine.  He has decided that he prefers not being swaddled at night (I am totally okay with), eating from a bottle or food over nursing, teething four new teeth at one time, and as shown below, walking everywhere instead of crawling.  He uses a walker to get around as well as help him play with toys that are apparently better than his.  He is only 10 months old but acts like a 1 year old already.  Sometimes I wish I could just freeze time.

Bed Skirt

Elyse was reading to Caleb on her bed while Kallen was pulling books out of the bookshelf.  Well I wanted to capture the two kids reading so I ran to go get the camera.  To my surprise, I walked back into the room to see this, an empty bed with a bed skirt that was moving and the sounds of giggling hidding behind it.

Pull back the bed skirt to find three smiles I never get tired of seeing.
So thankful I had the camera!

Joyous Morning

So as many family and friends know, Nate had to travel all week for work.  Normally it would not be a big deal, but this week was so busy with appointments and things not going as planned, I don't know who was more excited for his return, the kids or me?

Since Nate returned home late last night he decided to go into work later this morning so he could surprise the kids, eat breakfast with them, and spend some time playing and reading.  What an amazing husband and father I am married to!

Also want to thank all those who prayed, came over to visit or helped when needed.  Greatly appreciate you all and what you did to help me make it through the week.
