The kiddos and I trucked out in the 90 degree sun today to join our good
friends, at the Oliver H. Kelley Farm in Elk River. It was a very educational experience for all of
us. We got to see what life was like in the 1860's. We saw how
they grew and cooked their food, what they wore, we ran all over
the place with farm animals, and saw how they washed their clothes. Ironically, the children seemed to
have the most fun getting water from the well, but who would not enjoy ice cold
water today?!? All in all it was a very fun morning and made me really
appreciate living in 2012!
