Caleb is 6 Months Old

I can't believe it, our baby boy turns six months old today. He is half way to becoming one, where did the time go?!?!

Caleb had his six month check up yesterday and the doctor said he looked fabulous. Especially since his neck strength has improved so much, and because he is right where he is suppose to be. In the past month, Caleb has been rolling nonstop, almost completely sitting by himself, blowing raspberries like crazy, interacting with toys and people more, and even got his first tooth (haven't posted because it's too small in pictures). Overall, he is absolutely perfect.

Creative Lunch

Conversation with Elyse during lunch today while she ate her PBJ:
Mama: Elyse what are you doing? (Easting really slow and odd)
Elyse: You'll see
~2 minutes later~
Elyse: Look Mama, I made a puppy :)
Mama: You're right, I'm so proud of you. (while laughing inside)

Do you see a puppy? I really think she did a great job. New hobby I suppose.

Turtle Crossing

While Nate was outside today mowing the grass, I heard him shut off the mower and then he ran to grab Elyse. I was intrigued to what was going on. I grabbed the camera and went outside to find Nate and Elyse poking a stick at a very large turtle that took the day off from swimming in the pond to relax in the grass and sun. It was really neat to see, but that turtle did not like Nate and his stick!

Forecast

Weather this week has completely involved two ends of the spectrum!
Beginning of the week consisted of 103 degrees, sun and humidity; while today and tomorrow consists of 60s, cloudy and windy. Guess that's Minnesota for you.

Dada-Daughter Date Night

Tonight, Nate surprised Elyse by taking her on her first, and by no means her last, Dada-Daughter Date Night. Something I wish I would have done with my dad more when I was growing up. They spent their night enjoying a dinner for two at McDonald's and playing on the indoor play set (thanks to air conditioning, too hot to go out and play today). From the looks on their faces and the stories they shared, I know they both will never forget it.


Even though I was sad that they left me home, I didn't complain too much since I got to spend my time with my favorite littlest man in the world!

Mini Belle

Found the dress at a garage sale for $.50, totally worth it because she has had it on all day since we have gotten home. Plus she already had the matching shoes :) My little princess.
