Farewell For Now

Nate and I can't express how excited we are to have put this away in storage this past weekend. Not only are we excited to see no more highchair, but so is Elyse. She LOVES sitting at the table with us. I think it makes her feel so much more grown up. Even though we are happy to see it gone, we know there's a good chance it may be back in our kitchen sooner than we think.

Feel blessed because...

...we have great friends that spend their Saturday night wearing hairnets to feed starving children in Africa, and because...
...we have a wonderful babysitter our daughter loves to play dress up with. (Thanks again Mom for watching Elyse.)

Dada's Little Helper

Since we hope to move Elyse into her new room soon, we have decided to get our act together and finish her closet. Elyse then grabbed her tools and wanted nothing more than to be "Dada's Little Helper". I just don't know if she's more of a help or hindrance?!?!

Under the Weather

Sorry I haven't been posting much this week, it's been kind of a hard week here in the Klauser household. Elyse ended up throwing up twice on Sunday, ironically still extremely happy, just didn't eat much. That's when we suspected something was up :) Then being in a car with her for 6 hours, Nate and I figured we breathed in the sick air. That's because I spent Tuesday from 4:30-9:30 every 30 minutes throwing up and Nate came home early yesterday with a fever and chills. It's weird that we all got affected differently. I just hope by tomorrow all three of us will be 100% better. Please take a moment and pray for our health, because as many of you know, being sick is NO fun. Plus since Elyse has been better since Monday, she continues to look out the window or say, "Bye Bye" because she is dying to get out of the house. We haven't left all week and that is NOT normal!

Road Trip to Iowa

This past weekend, Nate, Elyse and I traveled south to visit Nate's family and one of my best friends, Joni (Stauffer) Bowman. Even though six hours in the car with a 17 month old can get tiresome, the trip was worth it. We had a wonderful and very relaxing time. It was great spending time together and we look forward to doing it again soon.

Thanks for the great hospitality and all the goodies, Dad and Mom/Grandpa and Grandma.

Reading to Baby

Elyse has been signing since she was 7 months old. It's a great way for her to communicate what she wants or needs. We have a few signing books and she recently has been reading them to her babies. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to capture her reading the entire book on camera, but you can still get the idea.
