The Date's Been Set

I just got off the phone with the birth mom and she is doing really good. She had a doctors appointment this morning and found out she is just about dilated to a 4. Therefore, the doctors said if she doesn't deliver sometime this weekend she will be induced on Monday at 9 a.m. Nate and I are super excited to have a set date and to know she's going to be here within 4 days. We were also informed that she will most likely be over 8 lbs. I guess we are going to shoot for the largest baby in our bible study. We currently are in a group with 5 other couples who have a baby under 4 months or are expecting within 2 months. Again, please pray for a healthy and painless labor for our birth mom. Also, safe travels for us. Well hopefully from now on our posts will include stories and pictures of our precious baby girl!!!

Patience Is A Virtue

Just wanted to update you all. Nate and I are still patiently waiting the arrival of our baby girl. That's right, nothing new. It's been a VERY long week! I guess she's going to be stubborn, like her mom (according to Nate). The birth mom is still having painful contractions, she's had them for 9 days now and is ready for the baby to come out, and who wouldn't be? Doctors haven't wanted to induce her yet, because technically she is not a week late yet. They said by Tuesday for sure. They also said the baby has plenty of fluids around her and is doing great. I'm guessing she is going to be one large baby girl :) Just please continue to pray, especially for the birth mom. I promise I will keep you all updated with pictures and information! As for right now, Nate and I are just trying to stay strong and very busy in order to keep our minds off this.

Back Without A Souvenior

We just wanted to let you all know that we are back in Minnesota WITHOUT our baby girl. Contractions slowed down to nothing on Friday and so we took a plane home and are planning on flying out again real soon. As for some positive things: -we met the birth mother and family. They are great and she is one beautiful woman inside and out -heard the heartbeat and felt the baby inside the womb -enjoyed a little sun and ocean -did a practice run and will be ready to go next time Our luggage is still in California, so we are patiently awaiting His plan for us. It's been one trial after another but once she arrives all this won't matter and everything we've gone through will be worth it. Please continue to pray for the birth mom and the arrival of our baby girl asap!!!

NO Baby Yet

So I know everyone is wanting pictures, but besides the fact that we can't upload them here is that there is NO baby. God really has made this journey for Nate and I very challenging. We spent from 6 am-2 pm at the airport. Finally got on two planes and arrived here last night at 6:30 (pacific time). We then got our luggage, got our car and arrived at the hospital at 9:30 to find out it was a mucus plug!!!!! The birthmom is having contractions regularly and is at 2 cm, but it could still be hours, days or weeks. Therefore, we are now in the mist of deciding what we need to do. Our hearts are aching. Please pray for baby girl to come as soon as you read this blog. We really just need a break and to hold our blessing. love, Nate and Natalie
